Recently joined the high street surgery, I’m a Wheelchair user who choose this surgery as it’s minutes from my home.

Shortly after this for absolutely no reason whatsoever they discharged me from the surgery with no notice or reason.

Although it’s probably for the better their service & appointment availability is terrible.

Does not take seriously patients concerns when they are in need of immediate treatment.
My daughter is just 40 days and they refused to treat her sticky eyes unless she got registered, however they could do this by rehistering her as temporary patient as i am ( mother) is already witb surgery.
Rude staff, specially receptionist

Avoid if you have a newborn:
- You have to wait a week or more for them to visit your 2 weeks old newborn.
- Setting an emergency phone consultation would take a week of calling every day at 8 and not receiving a proper call back.
- When you plan to book an appointment 2 weeks in advance, they say it is too early to book!
- Secretaries are not welcoming, somewhat rude, and phone calls end up with them hanging up the phone.

I had just moved to this doctor and felt they did not take my problems seriously. I had been for previous tests and scans over the last couple of months and they had clearly not read my history/notes of this. I kept asking to be referred and they would not listen to what i had to say. I felt like they kept fobbing me off telling me to take tablets and when they said they wanted me to see the nurse, I kicked up as i had already been for an ultrasound which they have notes on so know that the nurse wouldnt be the right course of action, they finally said they would refer me and then put the phone down on me! only taken me 2 months to get to this stage! Very unhappy with service

UPDATE: shortly after this I ended up going private and was seen, had more tests and had an operation within 2 months because I was finally taken seriously!

This is my experience, because off rediculous nhs rule prescription can only go in three days before pills are needed I forgot mine, had no thyroid pill to take that day, nurse in surgery BRILLIANT said no worries, she set everything in motion and I collected my pills from chemist by 1.30 WELL DONE HORNCHURCH SURGERY

Not sure what the negative reviews are about. I’ve moved and refused to change my doctors. My Nan has been here for years as well he is brilliant and cares a lot

Very efficient and helpful and gave me an urgent referral when needed. My family have been at the practice for many years and have always felt looked after. I have a disabled son and the doctor has always ensured his needs are met. We would recommend the practice to others.

We have been with this surgery for the last 3 years and have had good service. There are excellent staff and the doctor is very friendly. I have had a shoulder problem and the doctor has taken immediate action and has referred me quickly for surgery. Thank you. Mr Sutharsan.
