I was recently reviewed by Mr Dattani with regards to a long standing shoulder problem. I found Mr Dattani to be professional, courteous and extremely knowledgeable about his area of expertise.
Mr Dattani promptly diagnosed the problem and recommended physiotherapy and an injection, This has completely alleviated my pain and I am now back to my normal activities including going to the gym.
Mr Dattani and his team have worked hard to achieve the best possible outcome for me and get me back to my normal routine which I am hugely grateful for.

Mr Dattani recommended an injection for my shoulder pain. This had really helped and I am now pain free and able to lift with my arm. I am really grateful to Mr Dattani for treating me. The physiotherapy team at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital have been excellent.

I can't thank Mr Dattani enough for the rotator cuff he performed on my shoulder in December 2020. At every stage of the process, from the initial consultation through to our final one, he was very clear as to what to expect. I had a really serious tear as was evident from the MRI scans. I was a bit anxious over the surgery itself but Mr Dattani was very reassuring and spared no effort in making sure everything went smoothly. He kept a close eye on the immediate after-care and the rehab that I went through for several months afterwards. I am now playing tennis again six months on, something I feared I would not be able to do again. I recommend him unreservedly.

Dr. Dattani performed an operation on my shoulder to fix a massive tear (2.5 cm). He discharged me a year after the operation "satisfied" that things were well. I wasn't, so I asked for a 2nd opinion.
Thirty seconds into a video consultation with the new surgeon, he knew that something was wrong. He organised an MRI scan and a 2nd appointment. Once he got the scan results, he called to cancel the appointment. No need for it. The tear had recurred and fat had gone into it. I needed an operation ASAP.
One month later I was back on the operating table. It turns out that as well as the tear having recurred, the ball of the upper arm bone was out of place. This might explain why the range of movement was so limited and painful, and why I could feel a ball sticking out. Yet Dr. Dattani, who had examined the shoulder with his own hands, was "satisfied" that all was well.
If you ask me, what caused the re-tear was a rehab class Dr. Dattani sent me to two months after the operation. It was way too advanced for me. I could not do most of the exercises and I always left in pain and discomfort. I decided to stop it and yet Dr. Datanni insisted that I should carry on (I didn't as I felt it was causing me more harm than good, and I was!).
The post-op care I’m receiving right now is worlds apart from what I got from Dr. Dattani and his team, who were equally “disinterested” and kept offering to discharge me even though I could not raise my arm above 90 degrees. They are so much more thorough. They put a lot of emphasis on taking it very slowly to let the repair heal properly. Six months on, exercises are still more gentle and nuanced that the ones I was doing in Dr. Dattani's class.
Luckily, my shoulder feels a lot better, though I fear it may never be the same. Yet I'm glad I requested that second opinion. I feared that Dr. Dattani had left me crippled for life, such was the state of my shoulder when he discharged me.

Very impressed with the work Mr Dattani did in fixing my broken collarbone. The whole experience was surprisingly stress-free, and the care I received was second to none. Thanks to Mr Dattani and his team for putting everything back where it should be with minimal fuss and pain. Would rate 6 out of 5 stars if I could!

Axa introduced me to Mr Dattani and for this I'm very grateful. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him, he's personable and approachable - which to me is very important plus my operation was a success. I'm now pain free with almost all movement returned to my shoulder.
