I have been a patient at Primrose Hill Surgery since 1983 and unfortunately have needed to attend frequently in the last 10 years. I have nothing but praise - the doctors have been highly efficient and have referred me for life saving tests. Having worked in the NHS for the past 30 years, I can appreciate how demanding being on the frontline is. I was amazed to read negative reviews when I have experienced only excellent customer care from all the reception staff. Whilst waiting for my appointment I have only heard them being polite and highly professional which is contrary at how they are sometimes spoken to. I can find no fault with any of them but only the highest praise especially to the lovely Barbara (who has been there for years) and Sarah both of whom deliver excellent customer service. You are greatly appreciated . Thank you.

I recently joined this surgery after having a bad experience at another one. And must say I am very impressed with the professionalism and care from the GPs and reception staff. Keep up the good work!

The GPs and nurses here are excellent. They are always so helpful and accommodating! Also a special mention of Micah at reception for being such a star! Fast response, very helpful and friendly! Thank you!

Sorry, have had to redact my 5 star rating. Have been trying to get in for my smear for the last 6 months. Receptionists very unhelpful, every time I call, after being on hold for ages, I am told sorry we don't have a nurse rota, or we don't know if the nurse even does smears call back later. Also submitted an e-consult requesting medication which I heard nothing about, so just paid to see someone privately so I could get my repeats on time before a holiday.

Been going here for donkeys years. Renovation and Doctors change but the surgery experience hasn't changed. Usual waiting for your turn. Overall medics are good here.

Appalling service. You’ll consistently wait 1hrs+ on the phone just to speak to a receptionist. My repeat prescription for a vital medication is messed up almost every single time I order it, leading to a dangerous shortage or even running out. I’ve had several near-misses health-wise purely down to the surgery’s incompetence.

Bizarrely, despite the chronic lack of administrative staff, they’ve recently redecorated the reception area (removing all but a few seats in the process). The NHS is fantastic and I’ve never had issues with a surgery until this one.

I have severe mental health and also problems with my liver - that were ignored for months. I've had two doctor's appointments ignored in the last week - I was never called.

I had to call 3 times today to try to speak to the doctor and eventually was put through to a nurse who told me I have potentially life threatening Liver problems.

I was then put through to a Pharmacist who said they couldn't help as I had emergency Mental Health help done privately - the NHS couldn't help with this. And was then put on a Mental Health waiting list ...

Last comment is that whenever I've seen a good doctor at this Surgery, over the last 10 years or so - they always seem to have ended up leaving very closely after only having only a couple of appointments with them.

Sometimes ok, other times less so, it usually (of course) depends on which doctor you get to see, I wouldn't say any of them are wonderful, probably stressed from the workload, no time to really listen to you, they tend to latch onto the first thing you say and confirmation bias takes them the rest of the way to the prescription form. I still go for basic issues, but have had to pay to go private for anything more than the usual 5 minute talk and bottle of pills routine.
