Wonderful doctor. Great listening manner, clear, focused, reassuring, helpful advice. Sorry to hear he has recently retired, but wow, he has earned it, holding all those surgeries at 7am. What a service. Enjoy your newly-won freedom, doctor; the NHS is piling paperwork on GPs everywhere and it just ain't fair (or necessary, for the most part). You have got out at a good time, and it is your gain and Barnet's great loss.

Dr Painter is arrogant and thinks he knows everything. I asked him If I could get medication for my ADHD and he told me that the medication (Ritalin) was a barbituate and they are not good for you. I countered And told him it was infact a stimulant/amphetamine but he disregarded that and said I’m the doctor I think I would Know! He also Incouraged casual weed use on the weekends on a previous visit. Wow great idea for someone struggling with ADHD. Incompetent to say the least!
