I find that it is necessary to keep in contact with the surgery and not just expect miracles. This surgery has a lot of patients and wires do get crossed, but talk to them and they sort things out. I have witnessed many incident's where people have been aggressive or unreasonable. It is important to be organised and make appointments and order prescription's in advance. If you do all of this then you will get a good service.

For a long time now this surgery has been struggling with customer care, and quality of service that it gives it’s patients. Today was no exception. On my monthly visit to get my prescriptions, I arrived at the doctors to find no receptionists. I asked around and nobody knew what was happen in that particular office. The phone was ringing non stop and nobody there to answer. I waited around as the surgery is not open over the weekend and it was over 20 minutes before the receptionist come back. No appolagies for why they had left there workplace or explanation as to why countless sick people had been either ringing or waiting around. Absolutely nothing.
This surgery gets worse and has been going down hill fast for a long time. I have previously reported to the practise manager and raised issues through the health service. I have tried to get a new doctors but I live outside if all the catchment areas and they will not let me transfer to another section within the surgery.

Health care professionals they are not !!

Rang as per surgery policy at 0800 to get appointment waited 23 minutes to speak to someone. Was told they had been answering calls how come so many calls ahead of me, when I rang at exactly 08:00. Got appointment for 10:20 with the nurse practioner to eventually get seen at 11:10. It's both impolite and bad form to be kept waiting that long, it was the same people in with the nurse from 10:30 until I got in. Last appointment was a 35 minute wait and the wife's last one in early September was 45 minutes delay, at least today the nurse practioner had the manneers to apologise for keeping folk waiting. There is a big problem with this medical centre/surgery firstly getting an appointment secondly getting through on the phone thirdly inability being kept up date when appointments are running late. When you eventually get to see a doctor or nurse they are good.
Main Dr whose name is up everywhere left why is the name still up?

Takes ages for the receptionists to answer the phone, takes ages to get any kind of appointment, there's rarely more than 1 doctor in at a time, the receptionists take ages to get to you and help you at the front desk, any prescriptions take ages to get sent to the pharmacy, the waiting room system is abhorrent, they don't tell you to wait by the reception desk or round the corner and when they do, apparently a bell will ring when you should go in, but you never know if the bell is for you or somebody else. Often online it says the surgery is open, yet when you ring up it says it is closed and finally, not to be rude but 9 out of 10 times i have been for appointmentment for myself or others, the receptionists let random people go behind the desk and into the room even with children and the staff coo over the baby and chat amongst themselves rather than dealing with any patients. The doctor that my husband and myself used to see, Dr Neha Desai, (who was the only dpctor we ever saw there) was very good and sorted most things out immediately and efficiently.

This is a bad surgery you never get to see a doctor or able to book appointments even with long-term illness.
