Rude staff, made me feel very unwelcome and like a hassle. Never had appointments, and even when ringing to book an appointment the staff were so rude and abrupt. I understand they have been short staffed and possibly stressed but that's no excuse to treat people in their care in a way that makes them feel like they'd rather go without needed medication than be in the care of such rude people. It's not just one experience of rudeness I've had, it's again and again and again. The last straw was today when a 'doctor' rang me and he did not say hello how are you or anything, his first words to me were "so what's the issue", so I begin to tell me story and he interrupts "let me stop you there" he then says that he will book me an appointment tonight. I will not attend this appointment as after previous appointments they have done nothing to sort my issue with prescriptions and I keep having to go without. When I first registered there the doctors refused to give me the medication I had been on, that doctor was fired a couple of months later so I have to question all of their staff really. I have honestly never experienced such an unprofessional institution and will never recommend this surgery. In fact if this surgery is mentioned I will urge people to leave as the care is despicable. This is just a tiny amount of what I have experienced, I will make a formal complaint as it is actually very serious. I am not a sensitive person and I just feel that there must be more sensitive people than me experiencing this and they must feel like all doctors are like this, well they're not hence why I am leaving and urge anyone who is there or looking to register to not. Utterly disgusting

Exceptional service. Always patient and kind, accurately diagnose and refer you to specialists.
I’ve found the telephone appointment service to be an outstanding service- cost effective, time saving, yet just as effective as going to the surgery. This is meant the Doctors have been able to see more patients. I highly commend the hard work of all the staff at both of the surgeries.

I cannot fault the service and support of all the receptionists, Drs, nurses and HCA’s of both surgeries. I am mainly a patient at Northwood medical centre but have visited the Alvechurch surgery on a number of occasions. whenever I call the Northwood surgery the receptionists are so helpful and always call me back if they don’t know the answer to my query. The Drs are so supportive, understanding and always offer you their undivided attention. The nurses and HCA’s are so knowledgeable and support the Drs and patients to a high standard and offer a fantastic service. I would highly recommend this surgery.

I would like to personally thank all the staff at Alvechurch Medical Practice for the selfless service they have provided during the troubled times we have experienced in the last eighteen months . The team have supported us all by working and providing access to doctors and nurses during the pandemic . I was always answered by a friendly voice and offered access to whatever service I required. Doctors Practices have had many bad reviews lately but after all they are human beings with the same fears and emotions concerning their own safety while trying to accomodate our many demands THANK YOU ALL VERY MUCH x

I can honestly say that this is the most caring and empathetic doctors surgery I have ever known. When hear is people telling me their GP doesn't care, I couldn't feel more differently. Every one is kind and considerate and goes far out of their way to make sure everyone is looked after and getting the best treatment. I really cant give them enough praise.

The reception staff and the Doctor's and support staff are wonderful at Northwood I've had a number of on going medical issues and Dr Dakin has been fantastic very kind caring and supportive aswell as all the other Doctor's Thank you so much in these difficult time for the medical profession x
