Zero is what they really deserve, a negative number even. I rang them 6 times before I could even get an appointment, the lines are always busy but if you go there the receptionists still have time to chat and definitely the place is not that busy! I had to queue on the phone 45 minutes each time I rang and when finally I could get the appointment...no doctors! The doctor won't see you until you really need it they said....translated. ..you need to wait that your condition aggravates...7 minutes my appointment lasted!!! 7 minutes! How this place is still operating?? Why nobody controls how they operate??? Absolute disgrace!

I'm happy with Maple Access - I sacked my previous surgery as they were really awful. I agree it can be difficult to wait on the line to speak to them, but when you do, the receptionists have been helpful and I've always received the outcome I needed, 100%. I'm sure they get all sorts of hate which isn't their fault, as the government is obviously understaffing all surgeries. Be patient and polite, and they'll be the same with you. I'm only docking one star as a protest against Tory underfunding of the health service.

These are the words that pop in your head as soon as you think of this GP... WORST, PATHETIC, HOPELESS & USELESS.

They should be shamed publicly for the service they offer.

The receptionists lack soft skills and are so unfriendly.
It's obvious that they don't care about the patient's sufferings and the problems..

Doctors take ages to call you and follow up even if you have been asking them for their appointment by calling the reception endlessly.

I am moving on and will be registering with new GP soon..

I have no idea why there are so many negative reviews?!
This surgery has been amazing with me especially over the past 2 weeks! I went for emergancy surgery and needed a dressing and packing change the next day. I rang the next day and explained my situation and the receptionist was more than kind. She made my appointment and I was seen the same day. The nurse's there have gone above and beyond. Unfortunately, I got covid two days after surgery and they worked around it. Made arrangements for me to be seen at the end of each day and were extremely friendly when I had my appointments. The receptionist even commented on the fact that my appointment was running a little bit late and how she was worried that I was going to be cold.
I honestly couldn't fault these guys at all! They go above and beyond. I do understand that the wait times for the phone lines is a bit hit and miss and is a bit frustrating but, I do not think it's the receptionists fault at all and I don't think they deserve the abuse that they get.
Also, top marks for the security on the door!

I have always found the reception staff, nurses, doctors etc at this practice to be kind and helpful, however due I think to lack of funding in the NHS, accessing services at this practice has become almost impossible, very difficult to get through on phone and then no appointments available. There is an online system which seems quite hard to navigate. Because of this over the last few years I have had to resort to mostly using 111 and speaking to the out of hours doctor or going to accident and emergency, which kind of makes me wonder what the point is of being registered with a doctor's practice, something feels very wrong here. Because of this I have just resorted to buying antibiotics privately online, despite the fact that I can't really afford the cost, but it seems the only option for me today😟

I would like to add that this GP and colleagues who work there are always happy to help, talk you through and advice.
I know that sometimes a waiting time can take longer, but it is not so bad as described per previous reviews.
Me and my son never had an issue with getting a doctor call, or an appointment if needed.
If its an urgent matter we always have been seen by the Dr.
Not sure why is so many bad reviews.

I have tried to book an appointment for two weeks now for post cancer patient. Is ridiculously absurdly that to get through in the morning is IMPOSSIBLE! And when you get through there is NO appointments left! And back to square one!! I am myself registered with different surgery, amazing surgery vs maple access I even can get appointments later on the day as well as throughly online. This surgery is disgusting!! And is nothing to do with underfunding, I def will proceed to formal complaint! They don’t deserve even one star!!! Disgusting

Rang at 8am for my ill father, got answered 20 mins later and a call back at 10.30am, followed by appointment for 4pm. Can't complain at that. Dr S was very thorough too. Excellent service maple access in these tough times we are experiencing.
