Worst doctors ever!!! Takes endless time to get an appointment and the you sit around for an hour past your time with nobody letting you know!! Joke time to change

Nurses and doctors are wonderful. Very friendly and patient. However, one particular receptionist cannot understand the concept of booking an appointment. She has the cheek to tell me when I needed my 3 month check ups. I think I know when I’m meant to have them. She thinks she knows best. I’ve never gotten a correct appointment with this woman and often have to result in going to another surgery in order to make this check ups.

Their operator called and left a voicemail, without even leaving a phone number. Thanks to the existence of Google.

awful doctors they do not care!! was ill for so many years! always being sick and this effect my job and body weight

they sent me to over 10 blood test, even told me they thought I had cancer..... however enough was enough and I went else where to get checked up! turns out I had a bad food allergy! was a super simple test, confirmed the foods I cannot eat! and now I am fine!

another instant I broke my toe, it did not heal and again they wanted to just send me to blood test.... so I went elsewhere and they fixed it for me.

Updating my review as I was probably not helping things myself.

I received a very friendly call from the GP receptionist after posting my review, and they couldn't be more helpful. I think the problem here (and I was part of this problem) is that everyone tries to call in no matter how urgent their problem is, and many of us aren't aware of other/better methods.
I was advised the following (along these lines anyway):
1) If you're in pain and need fast advice (can't wait a few hours to get through on the phone/email), dial 111
2) If you need to speak to the doctor reasonably urgently, call in (or email, sounds like it's just as quick)
3) If your appointment isn't urgent but you'd like to see someone over the next week or whatever, email in or us their online system.

I was told that the email is monitored all day so it might just be quicker than calling in.
IMO if SBC could also stop building more houses in the area without adding additional support for GP surgeries and other infrastructure, that would help too!

I have been a patient at Shoebury Health Centre for many years and have ALWAYS found everyone helpful and kind and they always try their best to help.
They are under a lot of pressure with the closure of two other local surgeries.
I have complaints about the NHS in the lack of funding and money wasted. Lack of life saving surgery due to lack of ICU bed availability
If you have a complaint write to your MP or Boris Johnson The NHS URGENTLY needs more funding. PLEASE DO SOMETHING BEFORE WE LOSE IT.
