Dr. Davis. Unacceptable attitude, he’s very rude, abrupt and shows no empathy or patience to listen. He is an absolute disgrace for the profession. I’ve been registered the the practice for 10+ years and every time I get an appointment win Dr Davis is always the same. He needs to be removed. So many complaints for him on the reviews here, please listen and take us seriously. Get rid of him!!!

Having moved down to the local area from East London (originally grew up in Lightwater), I can only say good things about Lightwater surgery. It's actually incredible you can get same day appointments (E. Lon waiting times are up to 3 weeks), and the doctors have always been helpful. As for attitude, while I can understand it may be frustrating to receive abrupt service, it may be a valuable exercise for many to remember the stresses and strains placed upon the NHS, and GP's in general over the last couple of years. A decade worth of funding cuts, plus the population of the local area going up, compounded by COVID, is it any wonder some smiles may wain, and some attitudes may be less than friendly? At the end of the day, this is a free, fabulous service and I really appreciate it.

I feel so lucky to be registered at this surgery. I hear of so many people registered at different surgeries being unable to get an appointment for days or even weeks. I've always managed to get an appointment on the same day, and yes I may be number 35 in the call queue, but as long as I've rung by 10am I've always got to see or speak with a doctor over the phone. I count myself very lucky and can not speak highly enough of the doctors and staff that work here.

Yes the NHS are understaffed.
Yes your receptionists have to answer a lot of calls In the morning ( your fault as it nearly impossible to book an appointment in advance so clearly that’s what you want to do ) Yes you’re still using covid as an excuse however it doesn’t take much for a receptionist to be kind does it? One receptionist does my absolute swede in with the way she speaks to me. Maybe put them on a customer service course?

Always the same response, she definitely feels entitled and needs bringing down a peg or two. I wish I knew her name so I could not tarnish all of them with the same brush.

Frustrating
Since Covid ( or it appears to be so )
it is absolutely impossible to make an apoitement be it in person or on line, which incidentally is a farce.
When talking to the reception staff either face to face or on the phone one gets a feeling, they wants you to go away....is it a time to seek another surgery, maybe. If they are that busy employ more staf/doctors or whatever or takes it is unacceptable that one can only make an appoitement on the day, that is if you are lucky. Shameful policy

Absolutely brilliant surgery they run it so well, you can usually get an appointment the same day! The staff and the Doctors are all great as well. So many horror stories I hear from friends at other local surgeries I am so lucky to have chosen them when we moved to the area.

Never had a problem with this surgery and have always been fitted in on the day. GPs always listen and receptionists are polite and smile. Can thoroughly recommend and we are lucky to have this practice in the village.

Been worth this surgery for a few months and they are fantastic, easy to book appointments and the staff are amazing!
