I am in Hayfield site sitting at the CCC site for holiday relief for 2/52, when I came to give my insulin this morning I realised I had not brought enough insulin needles with me. I contacted the surgery to ask if I could register as a temporary patient to get a prescription for the needles I was told I wasn’t a patient there so could not have a script. I explained that I was here for a short time from North Yorkshire and I could fill in a temporary patient form to enable the surgery to generate the prescription. I was then advised I couldn’t do that as they couldn’t use forms because of Covid 19. I would have to go onto the website and register and then it would take 2 weeks for them to get my records. This is appalling denying potential life saving medication.
