Very good doctors but rude receptionist with a superior attitude. Just took paperwork from me and threw it across the desk like she’s annoyed I’m there.

Doctors all excellent, receptionists very helpful. The web site is rubbish! Used to be very simple, if already registered how do I get straight in please.

Doctors seems ok. However they do not carry out usual routine check up like my previous GP team. I assume this can be their management issue. NHS should maintain the quality of GP services. Reception is really bad. Wasting time with their personal chats. Noticed they are rude for some patients. They totally forgot NHS core values. I feel like they are not the right team for the patient services. They should learn how can they give their undivided attention.

I know that there is an influx of calls coming in each day but the receptionists still need to keep a level of professionalism as they seem quite rude. Maybe might need to go through some customer service training again to jog their memories on how to interact with customers...

I'm not a patient of this end, thank god. Even though this used to be the better practice compared to my end, however this I feel has since changed given the pandemic situation.
However my 13 year old daughter is. I rang yesterday morning at 11:19 am and was 3rd in the queue then 2nd and number 1. The process seems very long winded even when number 1, the whole process from start to finish was 13m 20s . Anyways I finally made it to speak to the receptionist and told her I need an appointment like now as my daughter was thinking suicidal thoughts and openly said in front of myself, her mother, her school tutor at Matthew Arnold school as well as the safeguarding team at Matthew Arnold she wanted to die. Now, I would have thought after hearing that I would of been told to hold the line whilst a doctor would be contacted to seek best action going forward or to be advised to go to A&E. However, I was told to ring back at 2pm. Which by then could have been too late. I was in disgust and made this clear as was the safeguarding team as mental health has been noted quite a lot recently given the pandemic we've been in. It always seems to be the same lady, her whole way she comes across the phone is very poor and doesn't seem to have the best interest for any patient although I haven't got her name I have spoken to the same woman numerous times for enquiries for my mother and to get an appointment for my father. Given the circumstances I had taken her to St Peters straight after the meeting, however, being advised to call back at 2pm for an appointment I felt was the wrong answer. I appreciate the GPs are working slightly harder as there not seeing patients as often but gesh, a quick consultation over the phone or just to hear a GP say if your daughter is feeling that way go to A&E where they can assess her better than what we could here is all I needed to hear. I am leaving a poor review I'm sorry, but this practice has gone so down hill of recent and this has been openly expressed by other patients and a nurse who came over from the practice who dealt with my Mother a couple of weeks ago.
