Unfortunately I had too visit the Dr surgery today . After 32 calls for over 1 hour from 8-30 to 9-30 I could not get through to surgery receptionist to discuss my health and needs for Antiboitics. Thankfully all though I could not enter the building reception at the door was very helpful. Dr Payne rang me at about 10-45. He is an excellent caring GP. After telephone conversation with my medical note on screen for him to read he prescribed antibiotics and gave advise of what to do should antibiotics not cure my infection.
Sadly I had to visit and risk passing on my infection.
I was not the only one standing in the queue outside. There were others who also experienced constant engaged line
Something needs to be done about the lack of people who are available to answer the phone . Phone constantly engaged is not good and this is a long standing problem not just now with this current crisis.
We have an excellent surgery, with friendly excellent staff. Let's not let this one problem re telephone call let the service down

Amazing service every time. The lovely receptionists are friendly and helpful and always get me an appointment to see a doctor or the advance practitioner nurse. Every doctor and nurse I have met have been incredibly friendly, helpful and had the time for me and to listen to me. I have never waited long for an appointment, from ringing first thing I am usually seen before lunch time and am able to get the prescription and medicine that I need.

Terrible GP service. If you can actually get through on the telephone to make an appointment to see a GP, they want you in and out as fast as possible. Get the feeling they dont really care, but they can claim money for seeing you. Made a formal complaint to NHS England following my last experience. I think if I ever need to seek medical advice in the future, I’ll go with the dog and see the vet. No problems in getting a good service there.

Just want to say what a fabulous amazing caring gentleman Dr Sean Coleman is. I know he would prefer me to call him Sean and not doctor. But this man is amazing. He respects people regardless of his title. He's caring and engaged so well with my Children. Made us so at ease and comfortable. Explained to everything to us. So much respect for this man.

I can't believe what I see in this review of Cumberland House Surgery.
1.6 !! Absolutely astonishing.
In my opinion this surgery is the best surgery in Stone by a mile.
During Covid 19 the way they have operated the system as far as appointments go has been perfect.
How many people in normal time before covid
made appointments when really it probably was unnecessary.
The surgery's way during this pandemic has been perfect.
1. Ring for an appointment.
2. Explain your problem to the receptionist.
3. Your problem is reported to the duty doctor and he / She then decides if you need to see a doctor or not.
4. You are called back and told if the duty doctor feels that you need to be seen or not.
If you do you are seen probably that day.
I personally feel that this way is perfect and hope it remains so in future.
People that need to be seen are seen.
For all the above reasons I give each and every one of Cumberland House employees
10 out of 10.
Each and every GP 100% backing.
Perfection.........

Terrible surgery that has got worse year by year. Was brilliant when I joined 8 years ago. Slowly got worse day by day. Late urgent repeat prescriptions, lack of empathy and professionalism, no call back from doctors, unhelpful receptionists and you can never get through to the surgery phone as it is always engaged or unanswered. Husband ended up on hospital for 3 weeks as doctors did not take the correct samples to diagnose aninfection in the bladder, was told to go to a&e if he wanted to! Lucky he did as he ended up on hospital for 3 weeks last year. Have been awaiting a call back from a GP for 2 weeks following being very unwell with Covid, which once recovered told that there was no record on the system of me ever having Covid but record of a prescription given while I was ill! Highly unprofessional to name but a few issues with this surgery.

I asked for a referral regarding transitioning, for a gender clinic. Been months and had nothing back, not even an update saying the referral was successful or anything. Even asked for it to be chased up only to get literally nothing back. The wait times for appointments are also absolutely terrible and I seriously wonder what's going on behind the scenes to make it that way. Needs urgent help.

As of 2021 the service hasn't improved much at all. You have to be at death's door to get an appointment and the receptionists seem defeated if you actually go there. Multiple prescriptions have been left unsigned resulting in us having to go back to there, only to be basically told off for bothering them. I essentially use the place out of a lack of other options, not by choice. I'm assuming that the receptionists are overworked which results in this poor organisation, which implies a managerial issue.

The doctors themselves, however, are excellent, and deserve recognition for that. They're very forthcoming, down to earth, and helpful. If you need a referral, they'll get it done as soon as possible. The only issue is actually getting to this point.

Worst surgery ever I suffered with pains in my lower joints,to be told by a doctor that was because I was to fat went on to have gastric bypass. When they closed down their surgery in barlaston it was best thing for most of patients as ended up with new surgery. To find out the actual reason I was suffering with pain in my joints is because I have ms, yes I ended up having a surgery for my weight which I did have problems with for years but a serious medical condition was ignored for years because they wouldn't refer me on to the right doctors
