Have been with this health centre for 25 years. I, and my family, have been superbly looked after. We have a family doctor who is fantastic, but over the years we have all seen various doctors and the care from all of them has been excellent. This is a first class health centre that has had to put in place various strategies to manage the ever increasing patient numbers. The filter through a nurse practitioner first makes perfect sense, that way the doctors see the patients that need them and the less serious issues can be dealt with by a nurse. You are always passed on to a doctor if that is what is deemed necessary.

Nigh on impossible to actually get a repeat prescription. The bureaucracy seems to be actually designed to prevent you from reaching anyone useful. I also had one of the worst experiences with a doctor in my entire life, literally the most rude and dismissive medical practitioner I have ever spoken to. Will be looking for a new practice very soon.

Edit: after 10 days of trying to get a prescription, today I managed it - only to find they'd given me 1 month's supply and not 6 as they had previously. Despite the surgery having ALL my contact details no one bothered to get in touch and let me know this, or even give me a reason why I only had one month. After waiting for 20 minutes in the surgery the pleasant but rather clueless receptionist 'guessed' that they might want to give me a review, although there were absolutely no notes on my file to say this. She offered to 'try' and speak to a GP, but at that point I was already late getting back to work, so had to go. There were three other people in the queue behind me who had prescription issues, so it seems as though mine was not an isolated incident.

luckily a month gives me enough time to find a new GP, one who hopefully has a clue....

Highly disappointed with the treatment of my 93 year old mother who has been in severe pain for nearly a year. It took lots of phone calls before i got anywhere...practice kept insisting they would only speak with my Mother on the phone even though i told them she is very deaf...They should have that on her records?? Cant take her to A & E because they dont want to know. It should be obvious to a Doctor that some one Who is experiencing agony day & night is MAYBE not just suffering from arthritis!!!😡

Very new to this practice. My initial experience was good, very well organised after Covid restrictions, and swiftly checked in and made new appointment there and then after consultation. Nice friendly, helpful staff along with doctors and nurses. 😊

A business that in my experience over the last 6 months provides a very poor level of service to its patients. I understand the funding constraints, but that doesn’t excuse or explain the poor practice mgmt. I also only had one F2F treatment experience and that was with a nurse who was simply removing wax from my ear but stabbed me so hard I had to have antibiotics to clear the damage. And the worst thing, she laughed when I yelped from the pain. If you have a choice look at your options carefully or if not expect to work hard and invest a lot of energy in getting good health care from this practice.

Please have some better seating in the upstairs waiting room. Very difficult to get up from if you have limited ability. E.g. post hip replacement. Apart from that no complaints

Our GP is a real family doctor, over the years having had 3 generations of us on his books. The surgery has worked under constraints over the past 3 years due to the covid situation, but even then they have done their best to look after us. The NHS is under massive pressure and that includes our GP surgeries, be thankful your treatment is free!

Been back in Taunton for just over 17 yrs, and have always been pleased with the service. We appreciate the strain surgeries have been under over last few years. I think we have one of the best in Taunton.
