If I could put lower I would. There hasn’t been a single time I have walked out of that doctors without feeling disappointed. Every appointment is rushed and you do not get the care you need because of that. The doctors don’t necessarily care about how you feel and they just follow quick procedures to be able to move onto the next person. I said I was unsure about doubling my dosage of an SSRI but she doubled it anyway without really asking me any questions to assess my situation. I feel like the doctors doesn’t realise that these are peoples lives they are dealing with, not just numbers.

Roathwell put my previous surgery to shame. Appointments are easy enough to come by if you explain to the receptionist why you need one, and if they are fully booked you can try again next day instead of next week like other local surgeries which makes appointments so much more accessible. They phone back when they say they will. The doctors are incredibly kind and nothing feels like to much trouble.

Long story short, if you treat the staff kindly they will help you. If you go in shouting and screaming, they probably won’t be so accommodating!

As long as you ring early at 8am, explain your symptoms to the receptionists clearly, they get the job done quick by either getting you a GP/nurse/pharmacist seen on same day, or they will refer you to more appropriate resources. They do their job perfectly. Act like a decent patient and you will receive the same level of service

I have not seen any worst GP service in the UK. The receptionist does not have mannerisms. Sometimes I wonder I have accidentally called scammers instead of the GP.
Stay clear of this GP.

Although I've only been with them a short while.ive found the reception staff to be very pleasent and helpful.doctors are professional and courteous.
Always spend enough time with you so you don't feel rushed.

If your mentally ill then stay away as youll definitely get worse. the receptionist has no manners and is very rude and she definitely think she knows more then the gp and if you ask to speak to your gp she's get more rude I really dunno how she still has a job it's disgusting. People's health should come first this gp feels like it's in a different country. And my partner can't speak too good on the phones as he was asking me thing she over heard and said well I'm gunna get off the phone now so you can speak to who's in the background how unprofessional.

If I was asked what a surgery could do worse, I would be hard pressed for an answer - although every now and again there will be a very helpful locum who will actually take an interest in your long-standing health problems. This is a GP surgery who filed my chest x-ray and decided it was not important to inform me that I had developed emphysema. This is a surgery who kept me on hold for over 90 minutes then just cut the phone line. This is a surgery whose receptionists are like the Spanish inquisition, attempting to convince you that you have no right to speak to a doctor. You will be spoken down to by both the receptionists and the majority of the doctors. You will have issues with your prescriptions that cannot be resolved. You will find yourself in a debate with the pharmacist for 20 minutes only to find out at the end that it is not an issue they can resolve, and then you are back speaking the the receptionist, who will do everything she can to stop you speaking to a doctor. I with you good luck, and I wish I could afford to move to get registered elsewhere.

Absolutely no communication with the pharmacies, every month going DAYS without my prescriptions because the pharmacy either hasn’t received my prescription after being told by Roathwell that they have, or they have no record of a repeat prescription at all. Absolutely have never experienced anything like this. Doctors and receptionists are always lovely but something seriously seriously wrong with the communication.
