I use their online service for repeat prescriptions but unfortunately no one ever reads the comments in the comment box. When I mentioned this to one of the receptionists about 2 months ago, she got quite shirty with me and said they don't see the requests and they didn't know how to use the online system anyway. Therefore they didn't understand what I was referring to or how to help me in future with this problem.
I happened to notice that they are actually promoting this online service to encourage patients to use it. However, I think that training should be given to all the staff on reception so that they can be helpful and understand any problems arising from using it. It's not their fault if they are not given the correct training!

Got appointment, waited all day only to be told upon arrival that I could not be seen as was staying 4.2 miles away and so out of their area! Why not ask this question when booking the appointment? When on holiday. Waste of a day.

Fabulous Surgery. Needed to register as a temporary patient due to hubby forgetting some of his medication during our trip and they had a prescription ready for us to pick up in under an hour!! Receptionist was really friendly and helpful and not once were we made to feel silly for making such a rookie error!! Thank you to the staff and Dr Smith who issued the medication.

Very nice staff and kind doctors but I do wish they wouldn't play loud pop music in the waiting room, when you're not well the last thing you want is modern pop music, if they must play music why not classic FM or radio 2.

I arrived today on time for my arranged 11:30 appointment (made this morning). Having waited patiently for 25 minutes (seeing seven people go in ahead of me in the waiting room) I went back to the receptionist and asked if there was anything wrong and why I hadn’t been seen yet. She failed to appreciate my patience and with no apology simply said that the doctor was running behind and that she will be with me shortly.

10 minutes later, the doctor called me in and it transpired that the receptionist has failed to press a button to say I’d arrived. Not only is this one of the core responsibilities of a receptionist, the fact that she lied to me when I went back to ask is worse. In addition, I made a point of asking her where the bathroom was on my way out, just to give her the opportunity to be honest with me, but alas, nothing.

It’s almost every time I’m at the doctors (thankfully rarely) that I’m left with a cold and spiky impression of the front of house team. It really doesn’t need to be as bad as this.

Lastly (and given the fact that I had half an hour to read every single flyer and post it on the wall), there seems to be an unusually high number of signs saying that any negativity towards the receptionists will not be tolerated. It does make me wonder the source of the stimulus behind these in the first place…

If you’ve moved to the area and require a doctor - definitely don’t go here.

Ps the doctor herself was very nice and professional (and candid - I suppose she didn’t want to take the blame, so I hope that’s been fed back to cheery lady on the front desk).

It's called a surgery but it's easier winning the lottery than to see a doctor. I've spent days phoning whenever I finally get through it's always the same answer. Try again tomorrow

Phoned the doctors yesterday twice all I got was call back at 8am tomorrow so I phone them at 8am this morning and waited on the phone for 50 minutes for her to answer and all I get was her coughing down the phone saying she’s only got emergencies available and I was in a middle off speaking and she puts the phone down she needs a word if not she needs to be saked didn’t even ask me what the problem was just presumed it wasn’t a emergency to see a doctor so so rude never been so annoyed in my life 😡😡

Absolutely disgusting behaviour from receptionist and managers!!! Refused my 2 year old an appointment when she was really poorly with her eyes and nose. Told me it was opticians and it was not a doctors matter. I had to argue my way through the matter to get me daughter to see the doctor, the manager then told me she did not refuse which she did as all calls are recorded and then she never gave me any appointment and she terminated my call and I have tried ringing back for 3 hours now and they have just pulled the line out. now my daughter is sat at home needing to see her local doctor which we are entitled too, this is why we paying tax for NHS to see my daughter and myself when needed and they have just refused, ignored and terminated my calls. Absolutely disgusted by this and have had to get intouch with the health board as I have no other doctors too go to for my child.
