What amazing Doctors. You really can't go wrong with woodlands surgery Doctors. Careening. Very kind and the main thing they do listening to you and to your problem. Since I been with me. They really make see the other side of brightness. I was in pain they take it a way. I was in the dark the show me the light. I love you guys and thanks for looking after me.

First and foremost the doctor's and the nurses in the surgery are very very good and deserved the five star rating.
Unfortunately you need to go past the reception doctors first these ladies seem to be far better trained than the actual GP's that you might eventually get to see in 5 week's time so only contact this surgery if you can guaranteed to be in pain for at least 5 weeks and then you will have the pleasure to see the actual GP. I moved from my last surgery due to parking difficulties now I have no parking issues but unfortunately I got to deal with inept morons instead. They setup an online portal to arrange appointments etc so you don't spend the limited free time you may have in a day On Hold, I have given them the form THREE times and each time they check everything is ok and then proceed to lose it. They remind me of the lady of the sitcom Little Briton "the computer said nooooo" not very helpful!!! I gather after someone reads this review my appointment times will double. From a lorry driver who is in a lot of pain in his hip and can't hardly walk but can't afford to have a day off and sit in the house just in the hope a emergency appointment might become available so I will will continue to carry on having a cocktail of tramadol (when not driving) and paracetamol while I wait for this appointment to materialize.

7 day waiting time for a repeat prescription, and they post dated it.... which was fine I guess because I wasn’t due until that date, but post dated it a bank holiday day... which everyone knows they’re not open, and my regular chemist isn’t either (when they had it). So I would have to go back to the surgery and get the doctor to change the date. How stupid can someone get ... have some initiative and a brain ....

Shocking, I calls them early in the morning requesting an emergency prescription as I would be away on holiday, they ask me to email the request and tell me it will be ready to collect in the afternoon. My son goes to collect it and they gave him a repeat request form stating they cannot do prescriptions on demand. Receptionist lies and claims they don’t recall stuff you have spoken to them about. When you are in agony and need medication for you to actually go on holiday, you cannot collect a repeat request which takes 3 to 5 working days to process.

Dct Palmer only good thing about this surgery. Yesterday when I called receptionist told me "Cant you do an econsultant" making out my app wouldn't be urgent. My response was no, everytime I do one the response is "call the dcts" Luckily I got an app with Dct Palmer and now I have been reffered urgently to the hospital.
Same happened when I had gallstones, repeat dct appointments for years with no outcome. Caerphilly surgery scanned me instantly and a year later I had gallbladder out. I feel like nothing is urgent with several people /receptionist at this surgery sadly.

Since covid this surgery had gone to pot.
Prior I would probably have rated it 3.5 stars so was fair.
The waiting lists are terrible basic services are no longer being offered and the receptionists seem to think they are doctors for some strange reason wanting to know exactly whats wrong with you!
Basically I prefer to speak with a qualified profession and not a jumped up receptionist.

Since moving back to Cardiff 3 years ago, I have received the utmost excellent care from this team in the practice, I can't speak more highly of them. From the administration to the clinical staff. I've been listened to, heard and my symptoms have been diagnosed and acted upon. Finally am getting the proper holistic treatment for me

Best bunch of people... Can't praise enough. Everybody's so kind, polite, courteous and understandable. Perfect blend of professionalism and kindness. They are all so good that I can't tell which doctor is better than the other. ❤️
