It appears that you still cannot make an appointment to see or speak to a GP in advance. I have tried to make one last Friday and told you have to ring at eight in the morning, which I did this morning. Told all appointments gone by the time you get through. Informed I have to ring every morning to make one. Advised that I work 12hr shifts so this is not possible, only to be told I can speak to a nurse. Having already been through this process in the past and already know that nurse practitioners do not prescribe HRT and you have to speak to the GP.
Having already got an appointment with the nurse in eight days for something else, told to speak to the nurse on that day. I appreciate that it is non urgent myself, but I had a nurse appointment in the past, then waited another week for a GP phone call back. It is not acceptable practice and what reason can be given that appointments are not available in advance. Maybe you have to take annual leave days in order to make phone calls at eight every morning because you work.

This surgery is run so professionally. The practice manager Leanne will assist you with anything you need relating to copy’s of health records and results. She has helped me and did me the copies I required without complications.

The receptionists are always polite and helpful especially Joanne and Jane who are both very friendly and always have a smile even when they are working very hard and are extremely busy.
If you phone at 8 you can get an appointment. I had a telephone consultation which I find a lot easier.

Dr matthews is such a gentleman. An asset to the practice. He is always helpful, polite and has time to answer any questions or fears you have. I would definitely recommend seeing him if you are registered here.

Both the nurse practitioner and the phlebotomist are lovely and polite and their appointments have always been on time which is good.
They have a diabetic nurse specialist at the practice who is lovely. She spent an hour with my husband and answered all our questions, we didn’t feel rushed into leaving.

There’s parking facilities and quite a big waiting room which is comfortable.
I will also say prescriptions are sent to the pharmacy in a timely manner when ordered.
They have an app you can also use which has loads of information you can view as well as links to order prescriptions and request things.
I highly recommend this GP surgery.

Doctor Gregory Mathews, if you book an appointment and they say dr Mathews do not let him treat you, he refused to give me antibiotics after 6 weeks of a cronic throat infection because he didn't want me to get "side effects" if it wasn't for me going to hospital with the kidney inflammation caused by the strep throat i would of been dead

Spent one and ahalf hours trying to get through. On 45 attempt, YES number 45. Got through to then wait 3 mins for someone to talk to , tone told all appointments gone . Try after 2pm and might get the doctor to speak to me to see if he wants to see me. Can not book an appointment in advance. What if you are working you NEED to know when you seeing doctor. No wonderHospitals are overwhelmed. Years ago there were 3 sessions per day, sat mornings and an on call doctor. You just turned up and waiting till the doctor saw you in turn. Find the nurses are brilliant, but getting to see doctor, more chance winning the lottery. By the way I am diabetic and any problem with feet is a priority. Nail on big toe hanging off after stubbing it. Look out a& e on my way

Really good doctors. Very nice staff who care about their patients. Dr Syal has been my doctor for the passed three years and is brilliant. Really cares about his patients. Just an update for 2022. A nightmare when ringing them. Took me a good few weeks of ringing every morning to finally have someone answer the phone at the surgery. Sounded like an old lady who answered phone. She must be a stand in member of staff as her attitude was very unprofessional and certainly needs telephone training. But I guess in these pandemic times it's difficult to get good customer service at best of times. But besides this, 2 years later still waiting for x-ray on my lower spine . But netherless I'm still a patient of Doctor Syal as he is very professional and a great doctor.
