Vauxhall Surgery

Have been trying to make an appointment for my husband since 8.10 am. It’s now 8.47 and the phone is still engaged. Have not tried 10x but more likely 20x. It’s now probably too late to get an appointment! Staff are great when you get in the surgery but getting in there is a nightmare.

Having recently had surgery I have had aftercare from the Nursing team and can quite happily say they do an amazing job, passionate, caring and putting me at ease. Many thanks to you all!

Awful awful receptionists!!! So rude! Such a shame a lovely practice and decent doctors to be ruined by unmannerly and just miserable receptionists makes me dread going/ringing up!

Amazing surgery. They always fit in my children whenever I call. They work so hard to fit you in or call you back. Staff are lovely.

Absolutely awful service. I was waiting for a call back for over 9 hours. I spoke to an absolutely vile woman on reception, I think her name is Rebecca. She sounded as if I was completely wasting her time, she coughed loudly in my ear & eventually hung up on me before the conversation was over.

I visited the surgery feeling very unwell and was greeted by a rude staff member who questioned everything I told her and spoke to me in a condescending tone. She was wearing a (blue - from what I recall) tunic, so presumably a nurse as opposed to a receptionist. I ended up leaving feeling worse than I did upon entering the surgery. It doesn’t cost anything to be nice, especially when people are feeling ill. Maybe you are in the wrong profession.

I rarely leave reviews but having read some of the other reviews, I felt compelled to do so after my experience with the practice this week. I agree that getting through can be challenging but disagree that the receptionists are rude; I have been a patient here for 3.5yrs and have only found one who could perhaps do with improving her bedside manner; all of the others have been helpful and polite.

I had a consultation with a Senior Nurse whom I have seen before, and once again he was absolutely lovely. He was sympathetic but sensible and I had complete confidence in him; I couldn’t be happier with my treatment.

In my experience, the people in this practice are professional and helpful; no small thing considering what they have been working through for the last 18mths.

The surgery and staff are great. Even during a pandemic and rushed off their feet they seem to be able to be polite, helpful and find appointments/call backs.
Cannot speak highly enough of them. Keep up the good work, everyone.
