Absolute shambles, you have to call over 100 times to get hold of a receptionist, the call often fails and then you begin the relentless constant ringing again. If you’re lucky enough to get through you are met with a very passive aggressive receptionist who lacks empathy and more often than not doesn’t have the capabilities and knowledge to deal with your enquiry. The GP’s themselves clearly feel the same as the general public because they do not communicate with the receptionist or the pharmacy. Multiple times I’ve been told my GP has sorted my enquiry with the reception desk but never the case. The pharmacy is even more a joke and I can’t be bothered to discuss the disgrace of a business that is

Called surgery from monday 7:59am to book appointment with GP, always busy tone, it's now thursday at 8:26am I get an answer to tell me all appointments are gone. I tried to explain I need to speak with a doctor. I get the same answer, call tomorrow at 8:00am. This surgery is so bad at getting hold of a doctor. They need a advanced booking system like my old surgery in Butetown.

Worst rated GP in Cardiff for a reason. If you can avoid this place then do so. You need a masters in question-asking to get the right responses from the staff, if you don't have this then good luck. Services they provide they have no clue about and god forbid something goes wrong with important medication you'll get passed around until they close. If you ring in the morning to get it fixed following this they will tell you not to ring back until 5 just to find out nothings been done and now they'll try and hurry it along even though it was already urgent. Have two queries in the same phone call? MIGHT AS WELL PHONE TWICE because if you do not they will constantly address the one issue and leave the other urgent matter on the back burner. Finally, when your medication is ready to be picked up they will give you a no its not ready answer multiple times only for you to find out its been ready all along! Do not trust the incompetency on display as they literally do not know anything and just regurgitate info on the screen without any care for you.

Sadly we have moved from the area and have had to leave the practice. Only a few miles, but we are in a different health authority too.

Apart from the universal problem of getting an appointment (certainly not restricted to this practice) the doctors and medical staff have always been thorough and efficient.

Since Covid things have been different! Looking for a new surgery has shown the system is the same everywhere we have looked. Our governments are setting the guidelines, and our overstretched NHS is paying the price.

Thank you Rumney Primary Care for all the care given to my family for the past 40 odd years. (Includes Wentloog Road Surgery).

They seem to have removed their telephone queuing system which means you need to keep dialing and hope you are that lucky one who calls at the exact second to hit the IVR. This morning was day three of trying and I managed to get through on attempt 200! Someone trying to call on a landline wouldn't stand a chance.

We have transferred over from another surgery, what a completely different experience, Rumney medical centre receptionists were amazing and very helpful, on the 2 occasions I have rang them , their service and information was amazing.
An absolute credit to the surgery .
Thank you so much , merry Christmas to all the staff at Rumney medical centre.

The worst surgery ever! You could spend all morning trying to get through and when you eventually do, the receptionist (Head doctor) tells you there is nothing they can do and try again tomorrow. Recommended an app that constantly crashes. Cannot wait to change my surgery!
