Churchwood Surgery

Very incompetent. I am given wrong information all the time.
I have now missed my son's 6 weeks appointment and received a rude voicemail...as a receptionist 4 days prior had told me rather rudely there was nothing booked under mine nor his name.
The reception staff have always been very rude and arrogant, the other reviews are true.
I came to the surgery a week before I was due to give birth for my whooping cough and 4 in 1 jab. After walking all the way from Wainfelin in the pouring rain I was told nobody on the premises was trained to do this so I had to walk all the way home in the rain up a big hill at 39 weeks pregnant. As soon as I got outside the surgery I just burst out crying because I am sick of them making mistakes all the time. These are not the only 2. I am looking to change surgery as I am worried about by son attending here. I will be looking to report these constant mistakes as they could be putting people's lives at risk with constant wrong information.

I find the whole of the medical and reception staff are very helpful and recently when I had problems with my bladder the doctor who seen me immediately referred me to a specialist and now I'm going to have surgery. Thanks again to all the staff 😊

A great practice. All the doctors are very good at what they do, so are the nurses. The receptionist try thier best even, when you can tell they are a little overworked and struggle with the phone. To be honest it seems like they need a extra person on the front desk.
Overall its a great Drs surgery and i was impressed when I moved my family to this practice.

An awful surgery with rude and arrogant reception staff. I have phoned twice in the last few months to make an appointment. Each time I have been told I cannot see a GP but instead a nurse. It’s very frustrating when I was advised by the lovely out of hours team to make sure I book an appointment with a GP. As I had already spoken to a nurse when calling the out of hours service I was trying hard for a doctors appointment. The first time I managed to convince the receptionist to give me an appointment with a GP but I had to wait 3 weeks! The second time around is recent, I called but a few minutes of hard work trying I could not get with a GP, apparently no GP is ever available even a few weeks down the line. Thankfully they said a nurse was free to see me. When my issue is resolved, I will be changing practice. It’s also worth noting that receptionists do not have medical degrees and therefore have no right to force me to tell them what the problem is so they can advise me who I need to see (GP or nurse).

Giving 1 star is generous,3 times they have prescribed the WRONG meds,once they told me the pharmacy was wrong,so went to pharma,told them what churchwood told me,pharma STILL said they were right,phoned chruchwood and then they said yes thats what we prescribed,yet 5 mins earlier told me very different,There is ZERO communications,never known a place with such poor communications,plus they cannot deal with deaf people at all,unfortunately i am stuck with them,But i would not be suprised if one day they kill patients with there lack of communication skills and wrong prescriptions.

Two of the reception staff are extremely rude and unprofessional (the one is also their dispenser). Their attitude is appalling and argues with you unnecessarily and shouts at you. You can even hear them say horrible things about their colleagues and other patients. This surgery will literally take on anyone.

Disgusting attitude from the one women at reception same women that told me to take a seat few months back and she would sign us in and left me and my young daughter waiting for hours, then all doctors went home and didn't even see the doctor because she didn't sign me in . She needs to go after reading all these reviews she has attitude problems ,she speaks with attitude as soon as she answers. Horrible women. All other staff are lovely. Not how u want to be spoken to when doctors surgery are suppose to be welcoming.
