Well I thought you one star reviewers were just wrong and I'd give them a chance cos I'm an optimist.

Turns out you are all correct to give 1 star.

So I get the call to discuss my vasectamy and get cut of mid conversation and no follow up call. Then I get a message confirming my surgery appointment woohoo. so I think OK it must have gone ahead OK so I'll cancel all my customers for the day. Ring reception and even see them face to face the day before so I know where I am going on the day.

After much calling and waiting on the day to get a clue when I may be in for surgery I finally get a call from the GP her self, hooray :-)

GP says

"Sorry the the paperwork has not been filled out by out staff so you cannot have your opp. Also I have 7 opps today already"

Well fan bloody tastic and also if she's over booked maybe blame the staff booking them into her diary?

I'm so disappointed but relieved as I've lost total confidence in this practice.

Please stay away from my balls, I'll keep them as is :-)

Absolutely shocking service. Do not join this practice! When signing up to this practice they were helpful and efficient at answering my calls. Whereas now, if I need to speak to the doctor which I rarely do, I can never get through to them on the phone. The worst service ever! I phoned at 8am, and still couldn’t get an answer. If I could rate 0 stars I would, you seriously need to sort out your customer service and actually answer calls!

I couldn’t see my GP since the pandemic began. I have been trying to book an appointment over the phone for several months, but couldn’t succeed. I visited the surgery a few times and requested the receptionists to make an appointment for me, but had been refused every time. They always advise me to phone the surgery number at 8 am to see a doctor. I tried but never get through. I visited the surgery yesterday too and made the same request again to the receptionist but the outcome was as same as usual. I was so desperate to see a doctor. Therefore, I decided to take a day off from work to make an appointment today. I started phoning the surgery before 8 am this morning. The interesting thing was I heard their recorded voice message till 8 am. Just from 8 am it seemed like their phone line was dead. I rang 144 times from 8 am to 9 am today. Hence, I’d like to inform all of the receptionists at SA1 Medical Centre that, I couldn’t make an appointment to see a doctor today too, by following your guideline.

I have found it almost impossible to get a GP's appointment at this practice in the last year. I'm now signed up for private healthcare because I simply cannot get an appointment here when needed. Today was a rare occasion where I couldn't get a same day private GP's appointment with my new service, so I tried again with SA1 medical centre, and as usual, no appointments available, after calling continuously from 8am-10:30. It's probably worth sending your complaints to the Swansea bay health board, and not just on here.

Would rather be treated by Harold Shipman than use this surgery! Appalling receptionists, one in particular is the rudest, most obnoxious woman I've ever spoken to in my long life! The one good one they used to have clearly had the sense to leave! DO NOT USE THIS SURGERY!!!!!!!!

If I could give less I will!!!
I just try call for over two hours to gp . Once already I was transferred to reception and woman answer phone but guess what ..... She put down fone on me. So I try call again and again one hour on fone I was waiting 10 people when just get to number one ( to transfer to reception) someone put down the fone. Where I can report that it's not first time this happen every time I call. I'm really lucky sometimes and after 5 times trying what mean 5h someone answer with big smelly attitude. I think they forgot they are for people not we are for them . If u don't like your job guess what u can do

Really getting tired of the whole of The Beacon Centre at the moment. From the pharmacy to the GP Surgery! I have been left the whole weekend without a vital I hauler. Initially the chemist forgot to order it with my monthly prescription so I needed to have a conversation with the lady on reception in the surgery. She informed me she would pass it, as a matter of urgency, to the doctor and I would probably receive a phonecall from one of the GPs. Fast forward to 17.45 when I rang the surgery to enquire about my I hauler prescription to be told by the woman, and I quote, 'oh I didn't think it was urgent it won't be dealt with until Monday morning! What a shower. I have nothing against the actual GPs but they seriously need to sort out their admin staff who are more interested in gossiping in the back office rather than doing the job they are paid to do. As for the pharmacy if the pharmacist can't cope, and it seemed under staffed today they should shoot whoever plans the rota... End of rant let's see what materialises Monday.

Useless. Attitude on reception is shocking. Just spend over an hour and a half on hold. The times I've been in there I can see reception ignoring the phone and chatting away. It's a customer service job that these people aren't cut out for.
