Smart Dry Cleaning

Never seen this place empty which is always a good sign. My husband went for alterations on his suit jacket for our wedding, he told me how lovely they were. When I collected his suit the man and lady at the front were very friendly. His suit was amazing, such great altering, I could not see where they had put the stitches in. I am amazed at how amazing they were, the price was reasonable but for the amount of work really was cheap. We were quoted over double the price from another tailor and doubt it would of been as good this. Looking forward to using again.

Awesome service. The job was a goodun too, they removed beer stains from my suit that others have failed in the past to manage. Great price too. Would definitely recommend these for your dry cleaning, alterations etc.

I have used this place a couple of times to sew buttons on a duvet that came off and fix a split in a very expensive item - I wasn't happy with either fix, both broke again within a two weeks.

I also used the laundrette to wash two cat beds in the large washers and purchased their laundry detergent to do this every two months. I went in today to do the same thing that has been done several times before and got yelled at by the man inside. Apparently, they have changed their policy, which is absolutely fine and they are entitled to do, however, yelling at a customer that they should be checking their all notices before entering (they have lots!) is not really appropriate. I apologised and said I didn't realise the policy had changed since I last came in, to which the male then started angrily questioning me on who had done it before in the laundrette - as if I knew members of staffs names! He made me feel extremely uncomfortable and I would be quite scared to work for someone with such a temper if I was one of the poor girls who worked there.

The laundrette still only accepts a cash payment which is quite concerning during Coronavirus, this actually put me off going in the first place - I should have trusted my gut not to use them!

Was enquiring about the services and the guy on the other end of the phone was extremely rude! I then called back as I forgot to ask how long it takes and whether they offer one day, he answered as if I should know the answer already saying it depends how busy they are, though there is no information on their website about times or prices, only that they offer services. He finally said they only do dry cleaning twice a week and when I was talking he hung up on me!! This laundrette will never have my business as they have absolutely no clue about customer service! Do NOT be rude to potential new custom would be a good start!
This same company gave me incorrect information when I emailed them asking, as I had a tight schedule. They said they did it Friday and then they said the dry cleaners aren’t there on Fridays, though the guy on the phone just said that they dry clean only in Tuesday and Friday. Make your minds up and treat your customers right, especially those they are potential new business. Word of mouth goes far!

I have been in Colchester for a month and I'm very happy with the great service that I have received from Smart Dry Cleaning. My clothing is done in time, the staff are very professional, and the place is very clean, and the prices are also good.

Have only used this place once. I recently had a pale pink woollen coat dry cleaned and they did a very good job,especially as it has pleats front and back like a skaters skirt shape.
