Maidstone Dry Cleaners

I had been using this companies ironing service for around 3 months up until last week. Each time I did I was not impressed by the quality of service (the ironing) but still went back as I am a very busy person and simply did not have time to do mine or my son's ironing. The price was very resonably and the turnaround was about one week. BUT...... Each time I received my clothes back they were still covered in creases. I would struggle to find a item that did not require me to give it a quick once over with the iron. The last time I used them I also dropped off two more bags of ironing to but but once I returned home and discovered that this time they were even more creased than last time I returned back to the shop and complained. They offered to iron my clothes again for me free of charge but I refused and asked for the other two loads I had dropped off back. They were very apologetic and were not rude to me however if I pay for my clothes it be ironed to expect them to be returned ironed.

AVOID if you value your clothes. Maidstone Dry Cleaners are local and convenient - but that's all you can say about them; if you value your clothes continue the extra half mile into town and use the services of professional dry cleaners. I brought a jacket in to be cleaned - a dark stain on a dark jacket, there was a noticeable difference in texture to touch where a drink had been spilled on it, but it could not be seen. After the dry cleaning process, which reacted with the stain, it turned it a much lighter colour - lighter blotches. Unless I want to look like a Jersey cow, the jacket is now unwearable. The staff, who had been advised of the stain on submission, said they 'did not know' this would happen. On contacting the owner to ask if he thought it was acceptable that his staff didn't know his written response was - and I quote - 'How dare you. Just who do you think you are'. He added he had been in the business for 17 years; I don't doubt it but it doesn't mean his staff are experienced - and if they lack professional knowledge they are his liability. Clearly there is no reasoning with someone whose response is that arrogant. Avoid them if you value your clothes.
