Perkins Dry Cleaners

Had two bridesmaid dresses adjusted here and would never go back. Although the adjustments were of good quality the customer service was awful. Went to pick up the dresses the day after they were supposed to be ready (about 10 days after leaving them there) to be told they weren't ready and wouldn't be until the following day after 4pm! I requested that the dresses be steamed to remove creases which was agreed to but the dresses were still heavily creased when I picked them up. I wish I could say they were at least pleasant or good value but the dry cleaner barely even acknowledges the customers and I don't think the prices are particularly good either. DEFINITELY DO NOT RECOMMEND.

Do yourself a favour and don't go here. Perkins' fees are extortionate (compared to other drycleaners in the area) and they don't have a pricing sheet, which allows them to take the liberty of lumping you with an enormous bill. One of my blouses cost double the normal price to dry clean as, according to the proprietor, "there was more than 1 colour in it". The service and quality of the dry cleaning is like any other average establishment. The only reason that could explain their high premium is that they must be using it to subsidise their rent.

I recommend this place to everyone as they have high quality customer services and also they offer same day dry cleaning which was a huge advantage to me. I needed to get my clothes dry cleaned for a event i had in the evening. The staff there are very helpful as they will make you want to come back and get your clothes dry cleaned from the same store. The prices are also great compared to the other dry cleaning shops in the area.

I took in a work dress (expensive wool gabardine number) that I had damaged by leaning on some brickwork - threads pulled and presumably dress ruined. The dress was fixed with some attentive steam pressing. Really happy to get my dress back!

This place is very hit and miss. I've had some work done to repair some clothing which was well done but other experiences have left me with a bitter taste in my mouth. I didnt think it was fair to give them 2 out of 5 stars but their customer service needs huge improvement. On one occasion they refused to give me a receipt for some work done to repair a work garment unless 20% was added to the bill (presumably a VAT issue). I've decided to no longer go there and to use the Johnsons dry cleaners across the road.

I needed to get my clothes done quickly and they said they could get it done within 2 hours and that happened. Was very impressed with the quality and would highly recommend this place. Staff were very kind and helpful.

extremely expensive, no itemized bill, they give the impression they just make the price up and try to rip you off. also the service is awful, arrogant and unprofessional. Will never ever go again.
