DRYCLEANCO (HOXTON) LTD

I use hoxton dry cleaners almost everyweek since 2008. I am quite happy to say "they are the best in the area" My garments are always delivered in perfect clean! They now offer free collection and delivery.

I took in a white coat which had some unfortunate dye stains from a red scarf on the back. When I got the coat back it practically sparkled! I was delighted. Excellent service, helpful staff, very reasonable prices and the opening times are easy to work around (not to mention free home delivery!). Highly recommended!

My experience with Drycleanco on Hoxton Street was absolutely appalling.
After spending a good deal of time researching a dry cleaner that I could trust with some very sentimental pieces, I settled on this one.
When I went in to pick up my dry cleaning, another customer walked in and asked if they could go ahead of me because they only had one item. After I politely declined the customer became abusive - shouting, swearing and calling me a 'dirty lesbian' who had to 'get the germs out, no wonder I was at the dry cleaner'. She used several pejoratives and said that I didn't deserve to be living and that I was going to hell. She then continued loudly on the phone to a friend, shouting about me and using homophobic abusive speech.
Instead of asking the customer to leave the shop, staff at Drycleanco just stood there and allowed it to happen while I (another customer, who was actually spending far more money than she was as I had several items including alterations) had no choice but to be listen to this disgusting abuse as they rung through my order while the other customer continued to shout homophobic hate speech at me. It was hurtful, shocking and absolutely disgusting that staff would allow this to happen in their business.

Furthermore, not all my dry cleaning was even completed for the date they said it would be and they didn't even get the stain out of my trousers.

I just collected some shoes that I had brought for repair and they were very badly repaired. The soles needed gluing and now that I got them back they are not properly glued and there is glue all over the leather of the shoes. Instead of taking them for repair, I could have used that money towards buying new ones. Lesson learnt I guess! I am giving 2 stars because they lady was very nice to me, but I am never taking anything back for repair over there again.

I had two pairs of heavy lined curtains cleaned. They took two weeks to come back, though I had been promised they would be back in one week. When they finally returned they were carelessly ironed, worse still they had shrunk by 10 cm. Both sets are now unusable for the windows for which they were made. £60 was a lot of money to spend to ruin my well-made curtains. I have tried to complain. They do not ring me back when they say they will. When I ring back the messages don't get through to the person who I am told is dealing with it. I am still pursuing this but feel all that is happening is that I am being constantly put off.

At the same time I had another pair of curtains shortened. They came back too short and when I started to undo them, they had been sewn so tight that the loosely woven fabric was damaged by the unpicking, inappropriate thread and over zealous hemming.

Beware!! Do not use this over priced place whose website promises so much and whose service is truly terrible.

We’ve been using them for some time after many other terrible and expensive options in the area. They are good value for money. I’ve had them clean rugs, leather and silk and very happy with the outcomes.

I have used DRYCLEANCO in Hoxton for over ten years now. Burcin and the team consistently do a first rate job. There is never any issue with the finished product, and their customer service is similarly outstanding. Top notch all round!

Poor service.

Had a jacket stitched up and it ripped again in the same place a few days later. Poor quality work. Bad customer service recieved when I complained.
