I was happy to discover Capital Dry Cleaners last week.
Amadeu was charming and really helpful . Did a great job cleaning my king size duvet at a
reasonable cost. Would recommend. I understand they also have a free delivery service too.

Don't use for delicate things!!! I took a bridal hair band to them, I asked (multiple times) if it was safe to clean it, and they said yes. Came back a few days later (one day after it was due for collection!) only to find it on the counter in pieces! They completely ruined it, put it back together and were trying to convince me that it was fine! I asked them to replace it for me, told them where I got it from, but instead they made another attempt to fix it, which was obviously unsuccessful. They didn't want to replace it with a new one and eventually offered me money back, but this wasn't really the point as I intended to wear that hairband on my wedding day. Their attitude was just awful too! Suggesting that I was in the wrong and being a difficult client! Terrible experience, will never come back!!!

Awesome people in there. They fixed my expensive boots for a great price. I'd recommend this place to anyone. Such nice people, can't stress enough. Great little shop. Make sure you use it. Oh plus he said my Yeezy 750s were one of the best shoes he's ever seen, and he knew nothing about them or who they are by. Top guy.

They fixed up my leather trousers real good. Really appreciated that and sewing work was top quality as it was done by hand as wouldn't fit under the machine. Would recommend

Please AVOID at all cost!!

Please avoid using CAPITAL DRY CLEANERS at 5High Street, on Caterham on-the-hill.

They ruined our curtains and the manager was extremely arrogant and almost abusive on the phone when we asked him to fix the fault. He shouted that they would not be fixed and we would not receive the £50 that we paid for shortening, that if we want we can go to Court.
He also kept shouting “ You don’t talk when I am talking “- when I was trying to explain that they are too short, there is a gap between the bottom of the curtain and the floor and that the light comes in. He hung the phone on me. He did the same to my partner when he called him.
These curtains were made by my mum, from very expensive materials and had sentimental value for me. These were extra large Curtains to cover our Juliet Balcony and to buy a similar product will cost around £500.
We needed them shortened as we could no longer install the curtain pole as high as we originally planned due to structural issues.
When my partner took them to the Capital Dry Cleaners to be shortened, he specifically asked that the finished length of the curtains should be 205cm. The gentleman called Amadeus (the manager) seemed to be polite and gave lots of compliments about my mums work, and that she should start working for him. In addition, my partner showed photos with the meter measuring the curtain at 205cm. He was even given a receipt with the finished curtain length 205cm.
When we were to hung the curtains one was 204cm and the other at 203cm and there was a gap at the bottom with the light coming in..
I had never come across such a nasty person. I am still shaking...
Please avoid this business, it seems we are not the only ones he has done such thing..

I took a dress here to be shortened. While the tailor did spend time pinning it - after three days said he couldn’t do it. And cut my dress without telling me. Taking it to another tailor it has cost me an extra £20, unfortunately having spoken to this tailor he has denied cutting as much despite photographic evidence and hasn’t offered any compensation. I would not say you could use this person as a trusted tailor for anything more than a simple hem

I have used this dry cleaners a number of times and they don't press my trousers very well. I've just received a pair back and there are creases all over them. I won't use them again
