We asked for a locally recommended electrician on Facebook and Lloyds company Mechtricity was recommended. We can absolutely see why. We asked Lloyd to do some work restoring power and updating lights in some stables and outbuildings which was about 2 .5 days work. His work is neat, precise and obviously based on long experience. One thing is that he will not cut corners on safety which provided us with complete reassurance.Lloyd was personable, professional, flexible, totally trustworthy and didn’t even stop to have a cup of tea!! He has subsequently gone above and beyond to help us at extremely short notice with a related matter and we cannot recommend him highly enough. He is now “ our” electrician and we would never go anywhere else.

Lloyd installed some new plug sockets for me and some other electrical work around my house. Lloyd was very professional and gave me an excellent price for the work. Mechricity has been easy to contact and did the work quickly, stuck to all covid regualtions and left everything clean and tidy. Highly recommend and will be using Mechricity again soon.

When Lloyd arrived to do the repair I was sceptical. He was brilliant!

He finished the job far quicker than I anticipated, he did more than expected. He explained where it was at fault and he was so polite. He far outstripped our expectations and there is no-one who could have done better. We shall use Mechtricity again. If you are looking for the best, well they are it!

We have had 2 jobs completed by Lloyd. Both have been excellent and we have been kept informed of progress at each stage . Very professional work completed and we will certainly use Mechtricity for all future electrical work. Highly recommend.

Let me begin by saying I am not one for writing reviews but this deserves it.

A key piece of machinery for my business had failed, leaving me somewhat stressed. I had no idea what the problem was but knew I needed an engineer. The only thing my team could tell
Me was it went “pop”. Armed with this critical bit of information, I googled electrical mechanical engineers and up popped Mechtricity.

With very little to lose, I called them and was greeted really professionally by a lovely young lady. I explained the machine had gone “pop” and that I needed it back up and running by the morning. This was 15:15 Tuesday afternoon. The very nice lady assured me that they could have a look and would almost certainly be able to fix the said “pop”. I asked when it would be possible to fix to which she replied, today.

At approx 4pm an engineer turned up and introduced himself as. He explained he would take a look at the equipment and see what was wrong. 20 minutes later the gentleman called me over and explained that the solenoid had burnt out. I asked what could be done. He said he would shoot off and get a new one and fix the machine. This he duly did. Once the machine was fixed, he also showed me a few areas of concern on the machine. Said they were not serious now but if not watched would become a problem. He also asked if he could adjust the tension springs as they were not correct. As soon as he tested the machine it immediately worked better than it had in years.

Short to say, I was very impressed. Then for the bill. The gentleman refused a call out charge saying he was on his way home. He showed me the replacement solenoid and the old one. He only charged 30 minutes labour, no travelling time and no hidden charges. Needless to say I will be using Mechtricity from here on in.

If you are looking for a company knowledgeable in electrics, mechanics, engineering and general machine maintenance then these guys are your best bet. Incredibly impressed.

Can’t fault Mechtricity at all, from the first phone call trying to get a quote Nikki was helpful and quick to respond Lloyd arrived on time to quote and gave us great confidence in his abilities. He showed up on time to do the job and worked hard all day barely stopping for a breather. There was no dragging the job out longer than it needed to be and it was completed to an excellent standard, they even keep a copy of the certificate in case you lose one! Will definitely be passing the details on to anyone who will listen! Thanks both
