Dan Holt did a brilliant job: friendly, reliable, efficient with excellent results. Would strongly recommend Dan & his company. One thing: they could do with a broom (joke..honest). Great work. Now stored as my contact for electricians.

I am so impressed by the exceptional service that D Holt Electrical Services offer. I had new lights and sockets installed. Dan quickly responded with a quote and provided a detailed explanation of the job. His colleague did a great job of refitting my lights, he was efficient and highly professional, discussing in detail what he was doing and making sure I was happy with the outcome. I wouldn’t contact anyone else for electrical work!

I called D. Holt with a non-urgent issue regarding a circuit breaker frequently being tripped. An appointment time was agreed upon and the technician, Matt, arrived as expected. I found the service to be very professional and efficient. A full diagnostic of my wiring was carried out, problem located, and suggestions for options explained. There was no attempt to suggest any work that was not immediately required. I myself asked about possible upgrades and a very reasonable quote was forthcoming. I selected D. Holt because of positive online reviews and I fully concur. I was happy to do business, I am very glad I now know of a local electrician I can fully trust, and I am indeed planning to have them in to do further work fairly soon.

I've used D. Holt electrical services for 10 years now and would highly recommend. Dan and his team are organised and hardworking, and great for advice on what will work well or not with respect to all electrical issues - lighting, EV charging, etc. He is prompt and thorough with communication. The work is always high quality and I've never had any problems with anything he has worked on. It's also excellent value.

We had a bit of a DIY mishap which resulted in a complete loss of power. Dan was brilliant and couldn't have been more helpful - he and his colleague visited on Friday morning and stayed for a couple of hours trying to isolate the fault, then returned on Tuesday with another colleague to repair it. We only bought our home quite recently and don't really know what we're doing, and Dan has been absolutely brilliant throughout - clear, punctual, always willing to explain to us what the problem was and what he was doing, and very reasonably-priced, and he'll be back next month to replace the fuseboard. We were very impressed!

What a Star!
We lost power late Sunday evening and I was unable to reset the trip switch. (I know nothing about electrics!) Early Monday morning, armed with a list of electricians and very little phone battery, I began by ringing D Holt Electrical. As anticipated, he was fully booked and I prepared to ring the next on my list. However, rather than hang up, he spent time talking with me, assessing the situation and making a couple of suggestions. I followed his advice and was able to successfully reset the trip switch. Amazing!

The electrician arrived on time however was reluctant to wear a mask when entering my home and somewhat rudely asked if I'd be wearing one too. Very little was explained about the work needing to be done (I requested quotes for wall socket installation) and for one of the things I requested, he essentially refused to do, despite it being a service the company provides.

He did not wear overshoes which I would have preferred as everywhere is carpeted and he touched quite a lot of my furniture without asking, including my bed which I found unprofessional.

I'm disappointed by the visit and although it is significantly cheaper than other electricians in the local area, I won't be using their service.
