Rip off prices, zero care and compassion. Asked for a review but haven’t got time to call me back to help me try and understand why my dog died in their care. This company only seem to care about money.
Update: I had already done what they are asking me to do below before leaving this review, that was over a month ago! I received an email from you yesterday saying it was still being investigated! We were literally in your vets for 10 minutes! How long does it take to investigate something that happened in such a short amount of time!? Like I said in my email, I’ve had zero contact from you or the vet. I called the day after she died to try and get some answers to be told they would call back, I didn’t receive any call back because you clearly don’t care. You charged me £600, my dog was in there 3 minutes before she died! How can you justify charging that sort of money!? It’s disgusting!

First class Veterinary Practice. My dog was seen as an emergency, out of hours, my own vet being closed.
The booking process and triage, was exemplary and immediate, and the appointment carried out with great clinical expertise, yet with most friendly and courteous kindliness. Highly recommended.

We brought in our 7 week old kitten last night as she was having breathing difficulties. The vet put her on oxygen support and later diagnosed Pneumonia and gave her a shot and antibiotics. The vet said she is absolutely fine and playful and will be all good and wouldn't keep her in for further checks. They charged us £400 for the visit which was rather shocking especially in such difficult times and but as long as the kitten was alright we were happy to pay.

Unfortunately the kitten passed away in the middle of the night and my niece has been completely heart broken and crying all night.

Very unhappy with their service/care and false assurances leading to the death of our baby kitten.

We called Vets Now Colchester at around 11pm when our dog began convulsively swallowing. We were concerned he had something in his throat, and were rapidly redirected to a vet which was open locally. The dog was examined in detail and the possibility of something stuck in his throat quickly eliminated. The service throughout was excellent, and first-class advice and treatment for an inflamed throat administered resulting in the dog being made immediately comfortable. My only reservation in giving 5 stars would be that this service was extremely expensive, £295 for just the consultation without any treatment, and as such this would actively deny veterinary support to those unable to afford this especially had x-rays etc been required.

I give 5 star for the care of my dog Betty. They looked after her very well.
BUT 1 star for the processing of my pet insurance claim. They have charged me £25.00 to process the claim, 3 weeks later and they still have not forwarded the details to my pet insurance. When I rang they said it can take 5-6 weeks! I would have better putting the claim in myself and having £25 in my pocket. The fees to stay overnight are so expensive and I'm very disappointed with the lack of urgency in supporting my pet claim. Hopefully I will not have to use Vets Now again.

I had an emergency to have our guineapig down and whilst I wasn’t expecting much to this situation, I was amazed and touched and super grateful that a kind vet took the time to explain the situation after she heard a little, with knowledge kindness and patience. Weeks on, as I write this, it’s still so appreciated, as I sometimes think back to that stressful early rush to the vet that day and ‘know that i was able to ask various questions and was met with the professionalism and care around, what I had expected to be, a rather more black and white situation. They were great on the phones too, as I rang ahead in slight panic… high emotions and they informed well of options. Thanks :)

Took our cat here on Christmas day when his breathing wasn’t right and his body had become very swollen, they were able to identify that he was in end stage kidney and heart failure (something our usual vets had missed) they were so kind and calm while speaking to us about the next steps for him. Sadly we had to put him down but the vets were so understanding and gave us time to mourn him as well as some of his fur as a keepsake and said to just let reception know when we were ready to go. Would definitely recommend this place during an emergency.♥️

Very friendly staff, good service, nice Vet, but the cost was eye-watering. Admittedly an out of hours appointment, but still mid morning on a Sunday and not a call out or anything. A quick visual check up was all that was needed in the end (a relief to me), but with some antibiotics and painkillers the cost was just over £500. This was for a spaniel - not a rare breed or anything.
