i have taken many engines here for every thing from regrounding cranks to stud extraction and they are proper old school engineers very helpful and excellent in all they do,i live and work on the waterways and take engines here as a preferred london engineers ( i once took a engine in to get cylinder linings,reground crank and to order a overhaul kit for a perkins 4107 and the old boy said its a 499 which it turned out it was,the only thing different is the valve sizes and he spotted that just by glancing at it ,wow ),i highly recommend these engineers

Having used many different machine shops over the past 40 years, I was delighted to discover Fields Engine Service. While creating my prototype sports car, Fields did some first class machining in my old Subaru L-series EA82 engine (for my work car) and on the prototype's old 1500 engine.In both cases, their advice and experience proved to be valuable and their work is superb.

Fantastic guys, known there stuff

Took cylinder for honing. Great service, got a nice crosshatch pattern And they haven't ripped me off. So i do recommend them for anyone who's in a need of some machining done.
