EF International Language Campus - English courses in London

The school is good, maybe it’s better if you choose the summer period because during the christmas holidays you will skip some lessons.
The teachers are good, especially Danielle ❤️.
Some of my friends are in the family, but sometimes I heard that the rooms are dirty or that there are rats (absurd).
I recommend to choose the accommodation.
Ability Tower is fine, but not the best by EF.
An advice for the Italians that are coming, it’s better for you if you have a lot of money because the food sucks in UK (unfortunately), with a lot of money you can eat in the Italian restaurant.
Maybe there is a problem with the test because the time is only 25 minutes, and if you are not used to read a lot you will find a lot of problem.
Anyway good experience, amazing city and amazing fireworks during the New Year Eve.

Ef London is a truly amazing place. The staff is very caring and attentive and they were always keen on helping me on whatever I needed. I would like to also highlight the fact that I had a great teacher called Geoff whose classes were funny and interactive; something CRUCIAL when trying to learn.
Travelling to London with EF was a whole new experience that I will never forget, and I encourage you all to live it as well💕💕✨

It is an incredible school with its teachers and all its staff. It was an incredible adventure for me. Also very good at education. In a very central location. I think it is a place that will add a nice color to your life. The best place to go for language education. Thanks EF London.

Never again. Poor communication with local representatives in Czech, level of services provided low, promised different accommodation than provided. I have daughter there, no food organized even we paid for, wrong placement in the study group so she is learning so basic English that could stay at home… waste of money!

I am a host and naively bought the story about cultural exchange. I provided my guest bedroom with ensuite that was recently extended. Regret it, as my trust was broken and my home mis-used. No support from EF to host family, or even taking responsibility for the upset and damage caused, not to mention the filth left behind by the student who we asked he be removed immediately.
I would give a 0 if the option was available. A con and don't fall for it - specially if hosting students. Traumatised is an understatement. All the smooth malarkey about support and able to reach out of office if their student was completely out of order, is empty. DON'T FALL FOR IT AS I DID. I was left with these where only 1 student was supposed to stay, but he decided to invite his new found boyfriend on the sly late night without permission to do so and he left us with the mess to clear up - you can see in the photos.

Excellent English school in London!
Teachers are very qualified, friendly and forbearing.
Located near Waterloo station, it’s easily reachable on foot.
I have wonderful memories of that experience!

EF was an enormous disappointment for me in every respect. I spent 12 weeks in the London school and know the institution accordingly well. The teaching staff is friendly and competent, but that is also the only plus point. All other employees (starting with the counseling and sales in my country of origin) is mostly not very friendly and also not very helpful. In my experience, the first reaction to any question or problem was, "There's nothing we can do."
Furthermore, my schedule was changed several times without consultation with me and of course without my consent, and this was often not even communicated, so I was repeatedly in the wrong place at the wrong time.
The online courses are an absolute waste of time. The teachers don't know how to master the technology and the content is neither educational nor interactive in any way. By the way, the online courses are the only thing that differentiates the intensive course from the general course and thus not worth the money in my opinion.
But all this is just the tip of the iceberg. EF London claims to have an emergency number for students to call if they find themselves in dangerous or overwhelming situations. What's unfortunate is that whenever I've dialed the number, no one has picked up the phone. This is also true when the transfer from the airport doesn't work (which seems to be the case very often), so there confused students are left to their own devices, some of whom have only a limited command of the language and thus can hardly help themselves.
But the crowning glory of all is the student residences and the host families. Thankfully, I didn't have to experience this myself, but I only heard absolute horror stories from my fellow students. The dormitories are probably cleaned only rarely and rudimentarily and also seem to be a refuge for the local flora and fauna. This also applies to the host families, but they seem to even surpass this. I have heard from fellow students that they were served spoiled food and that their privacy was not considered in any way.

In this respect, the question of whether I myself would travel with EF again, let alone recommend it, does not arise even in the slightest way.

I was student during winter 2021, I should Stay 10 weeks but I change the town during my trip ! Good point : The Staff of School was there for me. The School is Cute, next to London Eye. Guy of cafeteria was very Nice, Redbull avaible for late courses lol.

Inconvenient : Activities was so expensive and the most of time, we have need to do alone.
The residence was like 50 by bus to school.
No Staff into the residence, the Flatmate let every week-end people outside the residence TO SLEEP inside OUR bedroom.. When I come, it wasn't cleaning, many problem with hot water.. Covid Times, but Staff in residence . So my Test never arrived and I couldn't go the school the 1st week then I had 2 times vaccinated ! So, after I decided to go by myself to do my test (EF give me my monney back by credits).
Unfortunally, same the school is cute, the Classroom was to small to study in correct environnement.
