Newtown Evangelical Church

Newtown Evangelical Church is a true Gospel preaching, Bible believing Church that faithfully worships the one true God - Father Son and Spirit. If you are looking to find out about the Christian faith, look no further - this is a church that will guide you carefully, and thoroughly to Christ. I have always found the church to be very warm, and welcoming to newcomers. Cannot recommend highly enough, but you must go and see for yourself!

Great church. Sound teaching and huge blessing to have such a church around the community! If you want to hear the Gospel or want to ask any question just pop round every Sunday at 10:00 for the morning service and 18:00 for the evening one.

Good church that is Jesus centred, friendly and welcoming, and teaches the bible faithfully. Easy to get to. Youth work. Good parking.

Very friendly group of believers giving a warm welcome. Various preachers. The church has a strong tendancy towards fundamentalism e.g. statement of faith specifies six-day creationism which anyone must sign up to become a church member. Also women are regarded as "man's helper". This view point is often reinforced in the preaching. Not every Christian takes this viewpoint.

Worship is traditional: there are modern worship songs but these tend to be those that are hymn-like, nothing up beat. Children's song very outdated.
