Striking red brick building of the Bute Dock Company built in 1897 as the headquarters. Now a beautiful building in Cardiff Bay that many come to visit and take photos. Close to the Millennium Centre of arts.

What a sensational building! Built of stunning red terracotta brick. Gorgeous coloured tiles, interesting artefacts and mosaics. Really friendly and helpful staff. Disabled access friendly with a lift available for getting to display galleries upstairs.

Stunning views of the Pierhead out looking the Cardiff Bay. Ensure to wrap up warm as it can be breezy and cold. Many restaurants nearby, including Italian, Indian, Mexican, American gourmet and dessert parlours.

A beautiful building built in 1897 for the Bute Dock Company. Wonderful to see this piece of original docks architecture sitting between two modern signature buildings in the Senedd and WMC. Some really nice details on the building which now houses events and exhibitions. It's free to visit and has good views from upstairs.

The Pierhead Building is a Grade I listed building in Cardiff Bay, Wales. One of Cardiff's most familiar landmarks, it was built in 1897 as the headquarters for the Bute Dock Company. The Pierhead Building is part of the estate of the Senedd, which also includes the Senedd building and Tŷ Hywel.
The Pierhead is a unique visitor, events and conference venue for the people of Wales; a space to express opinions and give voice to issues that matter. An historic Grade One listed building, it was once the focal point of commerce in Wales.
