Incompetent - made an appointment, turned up on the correct day, at the correct time and they claimed that I had never booked (despite me having a booking receipt!).

Staff were really friendly and helpful. Good choices of frames, a half price deal on a second pair of prescription glasses, and a much better explanation of varifocal lenses than I had at any of the other opticians I went to. I would recommend!

The gentleman that tested my eyes couldn't have been more attentive. He explained everything but made sure to say he wasn't involved in the sales side of things even though I hadn't mentioned it.

The problem I had was when I was taken to the showroom to discuss what lenses I needed. The lady showed me some awful lense pictures on a PC and then showed me the good lenses. I didn't care about the price but she was embarrassed to tell me how much they would cost. I had to coax it out of her by saying I earnt good money but I wasn't willing to waste it. She gave up and charged me for the eye test and gave me the prescription. Well Boots I had prepared myself to spend up to £750 without any dithering so you lost out.

Terrible, went in looking to purchase a new pair of glasses and was completely ignored by staff there, and to top it off one of the women working there was standing there chatting to some friends of hers and completely blocking a section of glasses I was trying to look at.

Went off to vision express on the high street where the customer service was excellent.

A complete disaster. Varifocals were recommended. Couldnt see out of them. Total waste of time and effort. Requested full refund. Staff somewhat curt and not sympathetic at all. Very upsetting experience and I just want my money back and go somewhere else.

I wouldn't go anywhere else for eye care. Boots in Regent Arcade have been looking after my eyes for about 4 years now. The opticians are always professional and friendly, the dispensers are polite, friendly and attentive and the prices are very reasonable.

Asked for a quick solution since I lost my glasses. "It takes seven working days, and there's no way any other shop can get them sooner than that" Then I went to Harper and Cooper, had the best service, and my glasses in 24h.
