Massive fan here. These patterns gave me a wonderful gateway back into sewing clothes for myself. I've struggled w commercial patterns that are yucky, don't reflect me and are inconsistent and fashion-based. Every single piece of clothing I've made from your pattern 'stable' I'm wearing: dress shirt, trapeze, camber set and top 64. I've used linens from your shop, poplin from India, Liberty fabrics and trim I've collected from sales. I love how adaptable these clothes are and how a pattern can be reused, repurposed and with very unique results. I should also point out that the Slow Fiber shop in Monterey, California is tremendously inspiring and they have a wonderful selection of your patterns and tools. Keep doing what you're doing - I so appreciate your work.

* just a note that this photo of top 64 is my most un-M&M fabric. It's Liberty and covered with all sorts of estate sales gathered trim. I totally expect it's not to the typical M&M aesthetic :)

Lovely fabrics although difficult to find ones I had looked at online. The shop was busy and there only seemed to be one assistant working there so difficult to get any help.

Beautiful, mostly natural, fabrics, including cottons, linen, silk, wool... Their wn patterns plus haberdashery. Friendly service.

Heaven! What a delightful shop in which to browse, discuss and share ideas! Beautiful fabrics, and careful advice.

I'd called ahead to check they would be open, and was able to check they had stock of the fabric I'd chosen online, (but which I wanted to 'feel' before purchasing), and was given parking advice too.

Lovely friendly people! Gorgeous day trip destination!

I've ordered fabric from Merchant & Mills several times, and I'm always extremely satisfied. Their choice of fabric is exactly what I'm interested in: a huge selection of smart, sustainable fabrics with beautiful solid colours. Everything is always just as described (colour shown in the pictures is a good match) and always packaged in a sensible way - perfectly protected but without plastic or unnecessary material. Top marks from me.

Love Merchant and Mills for their notions. Their entomology pins are the best I've ever used on my sewing projects. Everything comes packaged beautifully in paper that can be reused or recycled. I've recently bought a pair of their dressmaking scissors and they are fantastic!

My mum always buys me their sewing bits and bobs but didnt realise how amazing all the fabircs were till I saw them at the knitting and stichcraft show this year. Out of a massive hall of fabric vendors theirs stood miles above the rest and everything ozzes class but in such a delightfully relaxed way. We bought a few of their patterns and fabrics and have spent Christmas with my mum making the overalls together so she can teach me and now I am really excited to order again and try a more simple pattern by myself. My basket keeps growing as I am finding it so hard to pick from all the choices, but the linen and Japanese ranges are my favourite. My only critique is the cat beds are a little pricey.

Heaven! Never knew about this slice of perfection until I accidentally stumbled upon it while on holiday. Everything is so beautiful and thought through, from the branding to the building and of course the fabrics and patterns. Wished I lived close by so that I could visit every day...:)
