I attended this establishment inorder to meet some members of my family who where staying over,
We had an acceptable meal that was topped by the duty manager when a throw away comment regarding the size of the desert was replaced with a much larger specimen.
Needless to say both where devoured as good food should not be wasted.
Clean plates all round

Heathside Brewers Fayre were exceptional in both the quality of the food and the service they provided. I cannot rate them high enough.

We visited the Heathside Restaurant on Wednesday 17th August 2022 for my Nephew's 6th Birthday. After a tiring day at Lego Land Windsor, we decided to go to a restaurant for a meal. (4 Adults and 2 Children)

We arrived at the Heathside at 8.30pm, we had booked our table ahead of time using the website. We were instantly greeted by a young woman who showed us directly to our table ensuring it met our needs as two of our party are disabled.

At 8.35pm we were ready to order and went to the bar. The same lady served us and was professional and listened to our requirements carefully and repeated the order back to ensure she had taken it correctly.

When the starters arrived the waitress was clean and smartly dressed. She was polite and even interacted with the children. She found out it was the youngest birthday and said she would see if she could do something special for him, she was thinking candles for his desert or something.

The starters were piping hot and there were plenty of food on the plates. The children absolutely demolished their starters with high intensity, something that is unusual for the kids as they're not usually interested in their starters.

The mains came out next and again same quality and enthusiasm same excellent service from the waitress. She learnt over and whispered that they didn't have any candles but they had gotten him a small gift.

Desert came again exceptional. Then the original server came over with a small package for the birthday boy and said happy birthday. Inside was two large pots of slime. He was over the moon. He loved it.

We really couldn't have asked for a better service or better food. We had an absolutely amazing time and would definitely visit again should we be in the area.

I would highly recommend the Heathside. Thank you for once again restoring my faith in Brewers Fayre

Visited today, pub was empty about 5 other tables taken from what I saw. Ordered our food, quickly the kids came out, luke warm, my husband went to get his carvery, only beef left, we weren't warned about this when ordering. Again this was luke warm. I waited another half hour for my veggie roast to come out, after asking for it twice. Asked for extra veggie gravy, it never tuned up. Ordered the kids pudding, a simple chocolate brownie and ice cream.... Another half hour wait and had to ask two members of staff. Plates weren't cleared until puddings finally came out. Two mangers walking around not doing much, could see all the dirty tables but didn't clear them or ask other staff too either. Been eating and drinking at Heathside 20+ years. Never again. Honestly never experienced bad service or food anywhere like that today!

This must rate as one of the he most miserable meal experiences of all time. The food was appalling.Avoid at all opportunity. Apparently even the guests at the premier Inn go to the keebab shop up the road rather than eat here.

Very poor value for money. 4 chicken goujons and measley prawn cocktail with bread and unspreadable butter (still very chilled) for £5.29 each. Poor quality scampi...The pie was a decent size but too much pastry in contrast to the amount of filling. The food was cooked well so not the fault of the chef as portion sizes and quality of food would have been decided by someone else.

Shocking ..

Went here with a friend to have dinner .
1 all the ale draught was off so nothing to drink.
2 the starter and the main wernt cooked properly and stone cold,
3 the desert came out and went to the wrong table, instead of the occupants saying it was theirs they decided to keep it and have for themselves. Lost for words!!!
The replacement deserts then took another 30mins to come.when questioned the staff couldn't answer why for any of the above.

I don't think the staff on duty were to blame just very short staffed and not enough training 🤔. I ask to speak with a manager to no avail.
