It seems as if business has gone down recently because we were the only people there along with the owners and I see why.
The gardens were not well maintained and the owners were rude in line with other reviews.
Our family included elderly members who would not do any of the picking but were there for a nice day out.
When presented with the bag of fruit that we picked the owner rolled her eyes and said, 'is that it'. She then proceeded to count the number of us that were there.
She mentioned that this is not a park or a charity and that she would need to charge us extra.
We don't own a famers market, so naturally we came out with around three bags full.We paid £4 per apple, I think the owners were trying to turn the business around with our visit.
Will never go back there again.
Looking at the farm, it has not been maintained or looked after at all. There was barely any fruit to pick, and most of the trees were dead.
The two owners there seemed like they just want to make a lot of money and I felt like they were forcing me to pick my body weight in apples.
Would not recommend this place to anyone at all! If you are looking for a fun family trip or nice fruit to eat, then stay well clear of this place.
It looked completely overgrown and abandoned so perhaps was relevant for Halloween.
There were literally of hundreds of pumpkins to choose from but the prices seem VERY expensive. Definitely needed a price guide before setting off to pick.
We also had a rather rude and deliberate huff and a tut whilst taking one of the pumpkins out (to reduce the final bill).
At least the sun was shining…
