Fabulous Stay at the Wensleydale Experience Folly for a special anniversary! What a lovely quirky little tower with absolutely stunning views over the valley. We enjoyed the place and took advantage of the farm tour too - an interesting and fun morning tour with Tim followed by a yummy breakfast in the Berry's cafe. The team do a great job and we would happily return for more.

We stayed in Hazel, the dog friendly yurt over the Easter break and it was just perfect. Our own enclosed area that meant our dog was safe to roam inside or out meant we felt he could enjoy his holidays too. Our back garden looked out over a field with sheep, a Shetland pony, Pheasants and Rabbits and the farm beyond. We loved chopping our own wood for our fires and the for the hot tub too. Relaxing in our hot tub was just lovely each day with views of the countryside around. The Yurt was great, cozy with everything you needed to be comfortable. There was very limited electricity with just two USB ports to charge our electrical devices. Lots of lovely local walks down to the river and stunning waterfalls especially. Really enjoyed our stay and would go again.

After a fun filled wedding weekend we were ready for some chill time and the yurts provided just that! Absolutely everything you need is provided, Tim was a fab host and couldn't made us feel any more welcome, giving us plenty of recommendations for things to do if we wanted to. It was during the heat wave we stayed but the yurt was very comfortable temperature and we had a fab sleep something we were worried about to start with. The views are incredible and we experienced an amazing sunset too! We got some meat for the bbq from the farm shop- best burgers we've ever had. We would Absolutely love to come back at some point had a fab time thank you!

Fantastic welcome on arrival (and support during our stay) by the Yurt manager Tim, who gave us a tour of the Yurt and great instructions on the use of the log burning hot tub. Fantastic location and great welcoming staff - the farm tour is also educational and very enjoyable, for all ages! We will be back again!

Right from booking all the way to check out, our 2 night stay at the Wensleydale Experience was absolutely phenomenal! Booking was easy and straight forward, with useful tips and instructions through email. The site is easy to find and a wheel barrow was provided to carry our belongings up to our Yurt. We stay in Lark and the actual Yurt itself was lovely - so cosy and comfy, and the view was insane, right opposite Bolton Castle! The host, Tim, is super helpful, friendly, funny and chatty who had great recommendations for local attractions and restaurants, and was always on hand to help. The wood fired hot tub was such a great touch and was thoroughly enjoyed on a crisp Autumn night. The facilities were in good condition but be sure to take a torch if you’re making a toilet trip after dark - the site is a certified no light pollution venue (great for star gazing!!!) so it really is pitch black. The heat of the shower, combined with the view overlooking the dales, was divine - what a way to start your day! The thick bedding and wood fire ensured we stayed warm during the night. The cafe on site, Fairhursts, had THE best food. Fresh, home cooked meals and bakes complimented our stay perfectly. Everything about our trip was truly perfect and I don’t doubt we’ll be back! A solid, well earned 5 stars from us - thank you for such a wonderful break!

We enjoyed the 4 hour farm experience recently and have already booked to go back again with our nephew. It was fantastic to spend time on the farm, learning about how it works and getting a chance to feed the animals, help move them around and learn about them. The highlight was the off-road experience up the Dale to see the Highland Cows - absolutely wonderful experience. We fed them and got a chance to take photos, it was brilliant. Tim is so nice and friendly and very knowledgeable and passionate about the farm. Looking forward to going back in a couple of week.

I was looking for somewhere a little different and Temple Folly certainly fitted the bill. Wonderfully quirky place to stay but with everything you would expect in a regular cottage. Easiest lighting wood burner I have ever used and loved the chance to do a bit of star gazing on the way to the lovely bedroom via the outside balcony!!

My boyfriend booked this as a surprise for my birthday and we both loved it! It was great to meet all the animals, feed them and herd them. The free breakfast was also a treat.Tim was so friendly and very knowledgeable about the animals and farm. Would highly recommend for anyone who fancies a day out in the countryside!
