Ok so this one is tricky.
I couldn’t decide whether to go 3 or 4 stars.

I took my daughter to get her ears pierced.
Lady on the phone was nice.
Lady behind the counter with multiple piercings was really nice.

The other lady just didn’t feel genuine nor did she have very nice energy.
I really struggle with this because I feel I am encountering more people like this.
She made an assumption that I’d want this “rapid” aftercare solution at an extra £10. Hospital grade. When I declined she gave me a look like I was negligent.
I pointed out politely that the NHS website suggest salt water for cleaning piercings.

She just gave me a look.

Other than that. To be fair she was professional and kind-ish. Not warm but kind-ish to my daughter. And she did a good job.

I just feel more and more often I encounter staff in customer focussed roles. Where they clearly don’t like people. The kind of people that you have to kill with kindness and “get on side” for them to show any slight amount of genuine warmth. Then on the flip side are the people who are genuine and warm.
I just don’t understand why people take customer facing roles when they clearly don’t like people!
Either way. Rant over. We came home happy and ultimately they did a great job. They did both ears at once.
Sadly the three stars were due to Claire’s themselves. The company.

They do not do surgical grade stainless steel - it is low grade. So you then feel bullied into buying the gold earrings to pierce with. Which are twice the price.
Claire’s obviously knows if they did surgical grade stainless steel they make less money. Shame on you!!

Nothing extraordinary, unfortunately it's the only shop I can find in Lincoln that sells Pusheen items which, like everything else in the shop, is quite expensive. The rest of the shop is a saccharine blur of pink, orange, yellow etc. that I can't imagine appeals to many people over the age of 13/14. But to each their own.

Wouldn’t recommend getting your nose piercing here. I had mine done, it kept falling out my nose all the time and unfortunately they would not offer a free one to have spare, which I think isn’t a very good customer service. they offered me to buy one myself. This is a bad idea since the healing piercing has to be thicker than regular piercings for your piercing to heal properly. Was overall a waste of money and also caused bleeding and keloid scarring. Staff are nice though, just dissapointed with the overall result.

Friendly staff that was always smiling and happy to help, nice and easy when it came to paying.

Got a great coffin backpack for £28
Lots of nice hair accessories.
Wouldn't recommend it for piercings though go to a proper piercing studio instead.

Friendly service, but not enough room in the shop to social distance. Too many display racks taking up space. Too many customers inside when I visited and i didn't feel safe. They need to make more floor space and be stricter on number of customers. Will not be returning for a while.

Seriously cramped and overcrowded there was one young girl trying to deal with customers whilst sorting shelves and a further two just stood behind the counter watching as she struggled. Further more they're advertising 5 items for £5 yet when you actually enter the store they don't have the offer running all in all a poorly run and managed store .

If you care about your child's welfare and health DO NOT GET PIERCINGS DONE HERE!! they are not licenced professionals! They do not pierce how it's supposed to be done and there are plenty of complications that are common, my sister nearly lost her ears due to the lack of proper technique and equipment. Go to a tattooist and an actual piercing shop where its done properly
