KFC Carmarthen - Park Pensarn

Probably one of the best KFCs - clean toilets, friendly staff, piping hot and fresh food. Love it. Keep it going you guys!

If I could give this place zero stars I would.
I don’t think I have ever had good service from here, always lacking stock and a long delay every time.

This KFC is a total shambles, avoid it if at all possible!!!

Today took the biscuit, ordered our food in the store waited for over half an hour and then saw that our order number had been taken off the screen.
Went to enquire about the order, there was no apology and the server looked at the screen and walked off with little said.
15 minutes later (and half a dozen other orders called)we went to enquire again and voice our dissatisfaction but no servers were out the front.
Another pair of customers also had the same issue as us and between us we managed to get someone’s attention
There was still no apology and staff that looked totally uninterested. When we requested to speak to the manager one server walked off, we thought to get the manager.
A junior member of staff came back and asked what our order was and when told that if they weren’t the manager then they should get the manager shouted through for the manager.
Eventually about 5 minutes later a manager appeared who was still not apologetic and didn’t even know what was going on.
To add to the issue, while waiting we had overheard that they had not got any gravy or beans, meaning our order would be incomplete if it had ever arrived!
We ended up requesting a refund (which was finally taken care of begrudgingly. It was 10p short of the amount it should have been and with no explaining that it would take a couple of days to process or a receipt given)
When getting the details for the complaints department and taking the name of the manager we found out that he was only the assistant manager and the manager was not even on site.

Disgusted. I have no words. Poor on every level, customer service being the worst element of the entire experience. It will be years before I go back, if ever. Order placed at 20:41pm. After approximately 40mins of waiting we notice our order just disappeared off the list. I talked to them, I said they’re may have been a mistake. They seemed to disbelieve me. They checked their system, and we could see the mistake, they had deleted the wrong order, 7101 had already been issued and remained, and our order 7103 had been removed. Our order was not complicated. The lady I spoke to said very little, other then the usual of ‘we have no gravy’ and walked off. 5-10 minutes later, the other server proceeded to pull the wrong order together again, he called it out again. I reminded him of the conversation that had just been had, he found the deleted order, he said very little, turned to the screen and continued to rummage around. Minutes later he called out another order number. These customers had been waiting the same time, and had noted the food they’d been given had been waiting on the side for some considerable time. They checked the order, and it was cold and completely wrong. The server walked off and did not come back when questioned. The many shambolic events continued and escalated. The manager eventually came out (though wasn’t the manager we learnt after). We concluded the food I’d ordered was not available and wasn’t going to be served and so I asked for a full refund. No advice given on timing and no receipt given. Another 5-10 minutes passed whilst we waited for the customer complaints number, the names of those providing no and poor customer service and refund being placed in my account. Whilst supposedly dealing with our issue, ‘the manager’ proceeded to ‘serve’ another customer in front of us. After finally returning, confirmed he could not provide the names of the servers. Guess name badges aren’t a thing anymore. I took photos so it doesn’t really matter. After more discussions, with no apology, I eventually received a receipt of the refund, with a statement of it’ll be in my account in 3 days. After over an hour in the Carmarthen outlet, I leave with no food, no money back in my account, made to feel as though I had no right to feeling anguished, no real apology, and extremely angry. With children needing food, I ordered a McDonald’s (order arrived in less the 10mins). As a direct result of the staff incompetence at KFC (Carmarthen), my young daughter was an hour and half late going to bed and I did not eat. It also cost an additional trip of 40 miles to ensure my teenage son had some food.

I get the impression the staff are lacking supervision. The girl putting the orders out wasn’t really calling the order numbers and just putting things on the side like she didn’t want to speak out loud.
After ordering it took the best part of 20 minutes for our food to be ready.
The children working there in general gave off a poor vibe, very casual (read as bored, fed up and lazy) with the way they slumped around the place. Messed up 2 items in our order meaning we had to drive back and swap. It was a fillet and chips box which was given as popcorn chicken and chips, and I counted 10 chips, seriously, 10. 😬 on returning we were met with a blank expression and no apology, but they did correct the issue and actually filled the boxes this time. My Fillet burger was cold, not even warm, hard and chewy, really quite vile considering it’s great from other branches.
My box meal piece of original recipie chicken was greasy, only warm and very slimy. Just a train wreck. I’ve maintained for years that KFC branches are either great or awful and this one will hopefully be closed down soon and the idiot running the franchise will go and ruin a different business, while the decent ones flourish.

I’d rather hang up from my thumbs while receiving paper cuts between my fingers, than use this branch again.

The food was good but the staff did mess up on our order a fair bit and the lack of a napking sent my dad in a rage, considering we were eating with our hands it was quite understandable (you could basically see the steam coming out of his ears lol)

This used to be a nice KFC but it's gone really downhill. Full of kids who as I heard from one this evening "don't care if they get fired". I pulled up to the window and sat there for 5 minutes waiting. Nobody came to the window and no one was visible through it. So eventually I drove to the next window only to be told I now had to drive back round. My order was incorrect when I received it. I was not given any salt or wet wipes with my food nor did I receive a receipt. The gravy in my box meal was 3 hours past it's sell time. The bins in the car park were all brimming with rubbish. I will try not to go there again. If you are looking for a nice KFC try Cross hands or Glyneath!

Well what can I say ……firstly before I came here, kfc in Pembroke dock was the worst kfc I have ever had and I didn’t think I could get worse !! but this one beat them hands down !! I’ve heard of triple cooked chips before …but triple cooked chicken …never!! I actually think if was cooked about 5 times with the amount of grease and burnt skin on it ! Along with my 5 chips! Oh and not forgetting the triple cooked beans 😳 I am now on my way to the hospital to get a skin graft !

Waited 35 minutes after ordering, on a fairly quiet evening, around 15 customers,
The front door is not self closing and every customer left it open when arriving.
