KFC Pontypool - Lower Mill Field

How mean can a company be. 3 pieces of chicken and a tiny portion of warmed up, old fries. Not even enough to eat one fry with each bite of the chicken. Chicken not bad but not fresh. Fries look and taste like they are half a day old. Look at the colour of them. Even the bag that they came in was half empty. Only once i had driven several miles away that I find this. Look at the size of the box. I know it's not that biggest meal in the world but the box looks empty. Mark up on this food must be in the thousands of percent yet they give old discoloured tiny portion of fries. I won't be back at KFC pontypool again.

My partner picked up a KFC 8 piece bucket from Pontypool's KFC yesterday evening. When he got home and I looked inside the bag it looked like a very sad meal indeed. Most of the chicken pieces were bony, lacked any meat and looked as though they had been left on the side for a very long time and the chips looked as though they had been warmed up in a microwave. We were fuming as my partner had just completed a long shift at work! Anyway we drove back down, he went inside and spoke quietly to the female manager who said that he could have a refund or that he could have "fresh" food. We decided on the latter as we were starving. We got home with the supposedly fresh food and tbh it didn't look much better than our first batch. I'm sure that the 4 pieces of chicken, our chips and rice were warmed up in the microwave and that the kitchen staff only gave us 4 fresh pieces of chicken. We were starving at this point and it was late so we ate it. I gave my partner the 3 good pieces of chicken and I had 1 with the 3 that were definitely not replaced. They were only made edible due to the fiery mayo sauces we bought to dip them in. After we finished the meal I started to have stomach cramps and didn't feel great. I've woken up this morning with a very bad stomach and diarrhea as a result after eating this poor meal. We paid over £17 for this meal and it was quiet when my partner originally went down and was still fairly quiet when we went down together to replace our meal, so this is unacceptable! Writing this review whilst sat on the toilet in agony.

Its a shame this place is so quiet compared to the McDonald's as you enter the services. I think mainly because it is confusing to find the entrance as it seems to be hidden before the hotel parking area.
Very good food but the drive through intetcom was broken and required a beep to alert staff you are waiting.
I think this is an underused kfc that could do with some money spent updating the signage and restaurant. Will return as there is absolutely no wait time to be served.

Well I must say well done to whoever was working and cooking tonight. 6/12/22. You have restored my faith in Pontypool KFC. The chicken was juicy and chrispy. And the chips were out of this world. Well done and Thank you.

Absolutely disgusting! 6 peice original recipe chicken was all chicken wings.. one had a black hair cooked into the chicken batter. Fries were cold and soggy. All chicken was soggy. Clearly been sitting out all day. Gravy was disgusting. Missing a chicken fillet and got the drink wrong. Sent diet Pepsi instead of Pepsi max.. 30 quid down the drain and I still have to cook.. absolutely vile. Sticking to maccas!

Disgusting just paid over £34 for a 'variety' box of DRUMSTICKS.

I bought extra portions of chicken too and guess what DRUMSTICKS.

16 DRUMSTICKS in total and 3 thighs, no signs saying there was no chicken breast. I won't be going back just awful 😕

How many things can go wrong with one order....

Ordered an 8 piece dipping box with 4 og recipe pieces on the side. To start with they did not have the mash that was ordered so had to change 2 of the sides after ordering. They also had no bottles of pepsi max either.

After receiving the food we realise that non of the dips or the added chicken pieces were in the bag.

Really not pleased with the service as most of the food we ordered we did not end up getting by the end

What a shambles of a place....waited 45mins then went and got money back on my card and walked out...3 staff and 2 of them was doing del orders no stop.....is there any point in opening the dining area ? Del & drive thru ok but eating in....dnt bother...not a mcdlds lover but far superior outfit !!!
