Not your typical city commute. By that I mean, a peaceful and free journey across London's famous river. there's a feeling of freedom once set on your way. Unique

An interesting way to cross the river, I did have a 20 minute wait before boarding. Vehicles are held in an area with numbered lanes and fed through in sequence.

Our car GPS took us to the ferry crossing - without our knowledge! (DartFord crossing was closed apparently). We pulled up in a mile long queue (thought it was a broken traffic light lol) and then realised it’s the FREE ferry service across the Thames. My husband was thrilled as it was his first time as a driver to do this. But OMG the wait !! No space on the first 3 ferries and had to wait for the 4th one. Huge trucks and containers also crossing. Wasted an hour trying to cross and very late to meet our friends. The ferry itself is managed very well. Easy to drive on and off. Suggest you fix your gaze to a single point as my head was spinning whilst the ferry sailed sideways and then spun around to the other side. It was pretty cool to ride the ferry overall, but a huge waste of time, that we didn’t have that day.

Considering the government have withdrawn all TfL subsidies it's we are lucky this free service still exists. A fun alternative to the tunnel if you're on foot/bike

TfL bankrupted by Khan and the unions, this now cut back to a slow, erratic, one-boat service, on weekdays only, with one expensive boat standing idle.

This WAS a great ferry service.
Even with new ferries TFL don’t seem to be able to run this properly anymore.
Bring back the old crews, somehow they managed to keep things running fine
Currently a good way to waste time and sit in traffic.
Don’t bother referring to the timetable, it’s pointless as the boats run as and when they can be bothered, if at all
Another thing the Mayor has ruined.&
