Lovely place of calm right in the city centre. Fine for walking the dogs along the side of the river.

Word of warning about litter left behind by a couple of homeless guys who have set up camp but don't clear up their rubbish.

Volunteers help to keep it looking nice and not overgrown. They do a great job

Nature reserve is pushing it, but can be a pleasant walk/cycle route if the dog walkers play nice. Main path often deeply flooded between the two bridges after rain.

A pleasant place to walk. And god-send during COVID

It's a nice walk with the family the path runs along the side of the river and makes for a nice outing.

Lovely local nature reserve on the north side of the city centre near the university campus, providing an escape from the busy city life, and a nice walking route from Broomfield into the city centre.

Lovely river walk all year round, very occasionally floods but for most of the year it is great, even in the rain you have the concrete paths so can be used nearly every day

A good walk out of Chelmsford from the city centre offering a shaded wide hard pathway with a mixture of trees, shrubs and offers a number of choices to leave the reserve. Provides access to Springfield and Broomfield areas as well as the Anglia Ruskin University.

Nice little waterfall close to rear of Anglia Ruskin University. Please walk from town centre along the banks of the River Chelmer.
