Since around 2017 Vouchedfor has been a crucial part of my business strategy and income – the return on spend is fantastic for me. You do however need to be a holistic adviser to make this really happen. So, if the client approaches for a certain need, dig deeper for other possible needs, then one by one, address them all. Then before long, for you say £145 lead, you may well have brought in many of thousands of pound.

It is the most effective place for clients to do their due diligence, when combined with eg googling you, looking at your website, LinkedIn, plus looking the you up on the FCA website. They are a properly regulated and monitored tool (like check a trade or trip adviser). Regular checks are carried out and reviews are genuine, so would be clients can really rely on and trust the information and reviews.

I find the Vouchedfor site particularly good, as I can express and differentiate myself (via my profile) as a down to earth, human adviser and the clients that like that, then gravitate towards me – in some cases, they’ve been looking at my profile for months before approaching me.

The top rated adviser and top firm status, including being in the guide distributed in publications such as the Times, are the icing on the cake. The site not only allows the would be client to get a flavour of the adviser (including trawling through reviews for consistency), but it now also shows when the adviser has been a consecutive winner over numerous years.

At first (as with many new things), I found I was putting significant effort into Vouchefor, but after getting a significant number of reviews, the pendulum swung, and since then, Vouchedfor has basically been working for me, giving a good volume of solid leads, which has led to / does lead to really good fees and like-minded clients. You do still need to keep on top of leads that come, following up quickly, then eg e mailing them say a pdf of your reviews, then following up in a timely manner with quality information, after your initial consultation meeting.

Don’t expect a high volume of leads and be prepared for some to be not quite up your street, including the odd few that might not be relevant. But, at least you’re getting the traffic and come up high in google searches and rankings. I view the site as much as a reputational tool as I do a lead generation tool – if you view it mainly as the latter, you’re missing a trick!

I simply could not do without Vouchedfor and for those advisers who seek to criticise it, I’d say first of all ‘look in the mirror and see if you’re actually showcasing yourself in the best way…do you stand out from other advisers and have you really thought about your profile wording and how it tells your story and your personality (or have you just made it boring jargon)? Have you got a decent number of positive reviews? If not, then don’t yet expect the earth…be patient and before long you’ll get the inertia and have great tools to show yourself off in the best light’.

Thank you Vouchedfor for your continued help, to me as an adviser, for so many of pour advisers, and also on behalf of our Practice! We’re really proud of our achievements and really want to shout them from the rooftops, and Vouchedfor is the perfect medium for that!

An absolutely garbage website. You have to select what advice you are seeking and can only select one. Already this is not an accurate reflection of my needs. There is no option to edit or add information despite the site asking that you do this. Two phone numbers on the website that just ring and ring; one did eventually go to voicemail. There is no way that I am submitting a request for an IFA from this website.

Vouched For has been amazing for my business.

I went onto Vouched For quite a few years ago now and I have had lots of great clients come from it.

Vouched For is the perfect place to showcase what you do, by regularly asking clients to review your services to show that you are great. They come up at the top of Google searches when people want to find an adviser and therefore you need to be on there.

Once a year you can qualify to be a Top Rated Adviser and last year I took on some wonderful clients who found me in The Times Top Rated Adviser Guide with Vouched For.

The important things to do to make sure that Vouched For works for you is to write your profile well, have lots of great client reviews that are kept up to date and then have a website that clients can go and find that supports what you said in your profile.

Vouched For is a great place for clients to find me and I love it.

They are quick to take their fee for the lead, but then find every excuse in the book not to refund when the lead was poor quality in the first place, just like the majority of the leads they provide. They say they are verified leads, but this just means they have checked it's a real phone number, not that the lead is any good. They only seem interested in what they can make out of advisers by throwing as much rubbish as they can at them. Even when they do finally agree to refund they send the money back by carrier pigeon! They take it within 24 hours yet it takes 5 days to get back.

I am Director of Gold Griffin - Wealth Planning based in Covent Garden, London. I have found VouchedFor to be of excellent service for the UK public seeking a professional regulated Financial Adviser.

We have acquired many 'Happy Client's via the excellent services of VouchedFor.

Thank you for your service.

Vouchedfor is supposed to be unbiased to their clients, but I had to forfeit my mention in The Times newspaper, and can no longer access my 90 reviews because I changed my business partner.

Its a really scary thing when a company has the power to erase you and your business with the click of a button. I worked really hard to build my business, as proven by the 90 people that left me positive reviews, and VF have wiped that out.

If you want to futureproof your business, be cautious about using aggregators that can remove you overnight, without warning. T&Cs don't mean anything when the company makes them.

In March 2021 they said they didn't know when or if they could let me back on their platform. Its been 6 months and I have had no communication from them, very disappointing.

EDIT: Since posting they contacted me which I really appreciate, and will hopefully have a resolution soon.
