Called in in first week of January to request refund, was told by Daniel this would happen. Still awaiting refund (13th January) having chased on 9th January by email and then again today when I was told "it takes 2-3 days for us to process a refund [why?!] and then a further 3 days for the bank to process" and "we don't handle payments". Which seems remarkably slow and convoluted for an eCommerce retailer.
Additionally, not a single one of my emails sent to Daniel (the owner) from December to the second week of January chasing this up was ever responded-to. The manner of the staff in-store and on the phone is has been universally surly and and unwelcoming. No apology for the delays, lost delivery or the unanswered emails was ever forthcoming.
I am astounded that businesses like this continue to trade in spite of such poor service. This is not the first time i've encountered the poor experience of Galleon and would strongly suggest using other stove retailers which are fortunately expanding across London as the popularity of solid fuel increases.
Each part of this review is factual and I stand by this review of my experience completely. Even if a refund is eventually issued it will not mollify me sufficiently to recommend this company.
Ordered a log holder it arrived badly damaged!! After numerous e mails & photograhs sent they said it would ne collected today 17th jan . no time given so a day off work!. Stayed in all day its 16.30 no sign of a courier....
No answer on there number & no reply to my message
I can see this going nowhere.
Purchased from them through e bay, will report to e bay ive read some really bad reviews on different sites .Avoid at all cost is my advice !! Do not be fooled lime i was by 5* reveiws

Now I've got to try to recover this money from my credit card, but as it's under £100, I may or may not get it back.

UPDATE - after chasing them again, they have now refunded my money.
Update: This is now almost a month since my purchase. No item received, no communication, no answer on the emails or phone. I have launched resolution through PayPal and hopefully recover my cash.
Please avoid they are bunch of criminals and thieves and should be prosecuted.
