My husband and I have had three very successful and totally beautiful installations with Mendip Fireplaces across the last few years. We could not fault the impeccable pre and post sales and service, their product range and the extensive experience Jeremy White and his team have. Following our installations we continue to recommend them as we consider Mendip Fireplaces to be the very best and only choice in the immediate and surrounding areas.

Our first experience of Mendip Fireplaces was in our previous home in 2011 where Jeremy and his team helped us uncover an inglenook fireplace and then installed a Yeoman traditional wood burning stove - it was beautiful. We then moved home in 2015 and called upon Mendip Fireplaces again to help us with our central heating system, as we wanted to introduce to a sustainable fuel source. Talking it over with Jeremy and after a few visits we purchased a beautiful Charnwood wood burning stove with an amazing and unique three piece grey sandstone surround (personally hand cut by Jeremy) plus a gorgeous riven slate hearth. It is the centre piece of our reception room and is a big talking point when we have visitors. It's stunning and works with our home so very well. Jeremy worked with us to get it exactly how we wanted and we trusted him completely. The end result added a stunning piece to our home as well as heating it efficiently too!

The second installation in 2016 was our beautiful Esse; a matt wood fired unit which is the fantastic centre piece for our new kitchen in our new extension. Again a very big talking point when we have visitors. It looks stunning and sits in front of a large copper splash back, a concept we worked up with Jeremy, with Mendip Fireplaces playing a major part in the successful installation with our building contractor.

We felt that Mendip Fireplaces had the experience, heritage and product range to deliver exactly what we needed, they really care about making it as pain free as possible and work with the best installation teams. Working with them was a total pleasure and their end to end and after sales and installation service is amazing. Mendip Fireplaces are a superb and trusted family run business and we would buy from them again in an instant.

Jeremy was a great help and took the time to explain explain the process of preparing the fireplace before installation. He listened to what we wanted rather than pushing for a quickfit like some other trades we came across.

Excellent service received from Jeremy and Mendip Fireplaces Somerset Ltd, all the way through from our first contact, to yesterday's installation. As can be seen from the images attached, this entailed removal of the existing gas fire (it was in when we moved in!), clean and prep of the chimney, to installation of the wood burner, hearth and surround. The work has completely transformed the look of the room, obviously for the better. Jeremy is very easy to deal with, walked us through the whole process, provided timely updates as the timeline progressed and even gave us sound advice on wood suppliers, lead time and storage.
