About 30% of my small portion of chips was tiny hard pieces that have been cooked a dozen times Nearly broke a tooth on the first few I picked up

And charged nearly as much for a small cup of microwave curry sauce as I was for chips

I've always only ever ordered fish and chips from The Viking. However, they've put a minimum order of £15 which is to high if your ordering a meal for one.

Thought I'd give this place a go based on the reviews. Did not disappoint. The fish was perfectly cooked and had chunky flakes. The chips were perfect, crispy and soft

Food is lovely, tasty and fluffy chips. The shop looks clean, Brilliant, friendly, funny staff that make you want to go back even Erol the Oldest brother 😂

New management. Friendly manager, always has time to stop and talk. The staff are also friendly. My go to chip shop. Although we only get take away sometimes. The chips are always freshly fried. Always good to wait for fresh chips.

Good fish and chips. I had a large cod and chips. The portion size, price and food itself was good. If the cod had more flavour it would have been a 5 stars from me. I think they are called Tudor Fish and Chips now.

Tried for the first time whilst under new management. Only got chips, but were very crispy and fresh. Service was fast, however new staff were not very friendly. Did not take card either.

Overall, will probably go again for the chips but with no rush. Old was better.

Really nice freshly cooked chips, had saveloys, good service, shop clean and following covid procedures. People placing then waiting outside.

Two seats available to customers, being disabled found this invaluable, chap serving noticed I was struggling with the two walking sticks so he passed the takeaway bag to my waist level, excellent service. 👍
