My local 'chippy' - sells the usual deep fried, chip shop food (fish, burgers, sausages, fritters etc) plus donner kebabs, cold drinks and miniature condiments. From the small selection of the food I've tried from here it's all tasted good. The staff are always polite and efficient.

my daughter loves their chips i love them but a couple of times my daughter gets a battered sausage and she sometime finds hair in the batter

We visited here after seeing the good reviews. Chips were sadly undercooked and greasy and fish was also very greasy. Price would be good if the chips could have been cooked longer and all drained a bit more. Staff were friendly so we will try them again as it may have been an off day.

The worst chips I’ve ever ate. I asked for battered sausages and cod and once I got them home the batter had fallen off where it was so soggy. The chips were oily and greasy and no amount of salt and pepper made them taste any nicer. The whole lot tastes the same I couldn’t tell what I was eating. I really don’t know how people have rated this place 5* as it was all just so soggy unfortunately. £25 I wish I didn’t spend but enough to put me off never going there again 🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮
On the plus side, the staff were smiley (they never spoke) and got the order correct. I can’t fault that. Shelves needed new revamping as the items have been on display for years as were all very faded. But no to the food. Absolutely worst grease I’ve ever tasted

As someone who assesses the care industry I cannot believe the rubbish that has been written in some of the reviews. This is for goodness sake a good old Chippie...and a bloody good one too. Its not a Mc Donalds where there are at least three processes for a small pack of fries for a 500% mark up. What you have here are lovely sized chips and fish just coated not too heavily with batter. Having been disappointed by being ripped off with other chip shops in the area I found this one and have been a customer for well over seven years. True the prices are not displayed on a fancy electronic board but does that really matter. Even so there is a lot on offer to have a choice that feeds everyones appitite and tastes. jumbo sausages and delicious mouth watering kebabs are on offer. Before Corona, queues formed in the shop sometimes six deep or more so these customers all can't be wrong. Now with a forecourt people SDistance but for extra safety because the owners care a plastic screen has been installed. So I highly recommend this chippie. I do not have any connection with the business just a regular very happy customer who won't be going elsewhere. Just to add before Andros and the happy staff re-opened we had oven chips..what a treat to have proper chips again.

good to see them reopen again after the lockdown time of April. they are not the best but not that worst. sad to read the pervious review ,but my question is "are you putting a review on a wrong shop?" because they just reopen since may, and they dont have any pictures of food on display or on the shelves. display were faded???oh yeah they have some bottles of ketchup ,milkshake on shelves!!!

Really nice place, good food and friendly staff. However last two weeks running I've turned up to get food and it's shut again, no signs no reason. I can only guess they don't want my money.
