Ancells Fish and Chips

The fish and chips were very tasty. They miss out on 5 stars because they have a peculiar system for telephone orders. It does not work well and left me and my brother in law standing out in the cold for many minutes past the arranged collection time.

Very good quality fish and chips, definitely worth the wait (and for me, the travel as well, as it is 15 minutes from my place)! The queue length varies per day and time of the day, sometimes you get your order right away if you are lucky. Will definitely go back again!

Great batter on a lovely portion of fish served with a good portion of chips. Thoroughly recommend. Might be a good idea to book beforehand as they are renowned & exceptionally busy.

Just over £15 for Jumbo battered sausage and chips x3 with 2 curry sauces. Very resonable price and delicious 😋

Always great, but busy on a Friday night! Call in advance or be prepared to wait! Well worth it though!
