Salt Fish Bar

Delicious fish and chips! The portions were really generous, the staff friendly and the food was super fresh! Only had to wait a couple of minutes for my food due to a Friday night queue but totally worth the wait, looking forward to my next visit!

This was a terrible experience. First of all, the large cod we ordered was suitable enough for a child's portion. Although the 'scraps' we ordered as a free extra were remembered, the two battered sausages, curry sauce, vegan sausages and fishcakes were forgotten about. The chips were quite nice, when doused in salt and vinegar, but it was a shame that the scampi came back up a few hours later. Would not recommend, despite being a fairly new establishment.

Tried Salt Fish Bar tonight, we are staying over the road and had just walked back from the park (6 kids and 4 adults needing fed before bed) we waited maybe 5 minutes for our food and it was well worth the wait! Fresh and piping hot!! The portions were great! I personally got small cod, when I opened the box I thought... "Oh this is small" ... I was wrong! It was so thick, the batter was beautiful and the fish lovely and fluffy! The staff were friendly and helpful, giving us wooden cutlery and handwipes which helped with the damage control of so many kids greasy fingers! Well worth a try!!!!!!

Salt Fish bar is absolutely first class. Very friendly staff serving well cooked fish and chips. Good portions and great value for money.

I thoroughly recommend you try them if in Cheltenham.

Had fish and chips here few times so far. First time wasn't great but given they had just opened will give them benefit of the doubt.

Few weeks down the line now, just ordered a large fish and chips. Fish okay but Chips feel hard, dry and tasteless as if they had been re heated from yesterday's batch. Left feeling disappointed.

Excellent chips, very good portion size (we had a medium each); only visiting Cheltenham, but would definitely have been using again if a local; didn't have a fish but it looked well-cooked 👍

Amazing pies, homemade packed full of filling, definitely be coming back to try . Chips were delicious not greasy, deep fried creme eggs,I wasn't expecting to like it, but the donut batter was delicious

The best chicken pie I have ever tasted and the home made tartare sauce was superb with the fish. I was full but the battered creme egg was amazing and couldn't be resisted.
